I am a passionate STEM educator dedicated to helping every student unlock their potential in science, technology, engineering, and math. With a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology and extensive hands-on research experience, I bring real-world science into the classroom. Ik bied in Amsterdam en omgeving bijles aan huis en online bijles aan voor leerlingen in het voortgezet onderwijs. De vakken waarin ik bijles geef zijn Wiskunde, Biologie en Scheikunde. De voorkeur ligt bij deze vakken i.v.m met mijn eigen biomedische achtergrond. Tijdens mijn studie heb ik als bijlesdocent gewerkt voor o.a. Instituut Vrijbergen, Nationale Eindexamentraing en Capita Selecta. Inmiddels heb ik mijn eigen ZZP-onderneming en werk voornamelijk in Amsterdam en omgeving. Omdat ik zelf over een auto beschik, ben ik hierin flexibel om ook naar jou te verplaatsen. Uiteraard worden momenteel de bijlessen online of met gepaste afstand gegeven.

Ik ben een ervaren bijlesdocent met meer dan 10 jaar ervaring met leerlingen op zowel middelbare school, studenten op HBO als WO niveau. Naast vakinhoudelijke kennis ondersteun ik ook leerlingen bij het maken van praktische opdrachten en profielwerkstukken. Examentraining geven is mijn specialiteit.

Deze zomervakantie, op woensdag 17 en 24 augustus, geeft Wail Kherrazi (14) de workshop Bouw en programmeer een Corona 1,5 meter afstand-melder, in de Maakplaats van de Bibliotheek Amstelveen Stadsplein. Met een Arduino (een klein board met programmeerbare elektronica) bouwen en programmeren de deelnemers een afstand-apparaat, dat piept als je te dicht bij iemand staat.

Het idee voor de corona 1,5 meter afstand-melder ontstond toen twee jaar geleden de 1,5 meter regel werd afgekondigd. Wail ondervond dat veel mensen moeite hadden om op een respectvolle manier 1,5 meter afstand te houden. “Het klinkt zo onaardig om steeds te roepen ‘afstand houden’; daar wilde ik iets aan doen,” vertelt Wail. “Ik vond programmeren altijd al leuk en toen ik nieuwe programmeermaterialen van mijn vader kreeg, ben ik een prototype voor een corona 1,5 meter afstand-melder gaan bouwen.”

Wail trok al snel de aandacht met zijn uitvinding. Hij werd geïnterviewd door het Jeugdjournaal, kwam met verschillende mensen in contact die hem hielpen een bedrijf op te zetten en werd zelfs genomineerd voor de Nationale Kinderprijs en de CSU Innovatie Award! Met zijn bedrijf, WailSalutem, wil Wail bewerkstelligen dat mensen gezond blijven, goed voor zichzelf zorgen, lief zijn voor elkaar en respectvol met elkaar omgaan. Wail: “Mijn apparaat maakt het gemakkelijker om afstand te houden. Je hoeft niet meer steeds te zeggen dat je graag afstand houdt. Dat doet het apparaat met zijn piepgeluid. En dat is fijn voor mensen die nu en in de toekomst graag afstand willen blijven houden.”

Biology is a natural science that studies living things. There are different levels to Biology. Making biology simple for the beginner being introduced to it ...to the more complex working of the human body made easy by a Doctor’s experience .

I offer tutoring to pupils and students of all levels (VMBO, HAVO, VWO, MBO, HBO, WO).

I can help with the exact subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology), but also with Dutch and English. I can also help with reports, profile papers, theses and theses.

I have a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in neuroscience, currently I'm doing my PhD. This consists of research and education, so I also supervise Bachelor's and Master's students during my work. I also have a lot of experience in tutoring.
