I offer ballet and contemporary dance classes for children, teenagers, and adults — from beginners to advanced dancers. My teaching combines the precision of classical ballet with the freedom, musicality, and fluidity of contemporary dance. Technique, body awareness, and artistic expression are equally important in my classes. I aim to create a safe and inspiring space where each student can develop confidence, discover their own movement quality, and grow both physically and creatively. In addition to technical training, I also incorporate improvisation, floorwork, stretching, and choreographic exploration. With international stage experience in Europe and Japan, I bring both professional structure and creative openness to my teaching. I look forward to exploring movement and developing individual goals together.

Trusted teacher: My name is Fadi, a Palestinian raised in Dubai who has also lived in Palestine and Jordan. I specialize in teaching the Levantine Arabic variety. So, what is "Levantine"? It refers to the historic region of the Levant, which includes Palestine, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and the Hatay province of Turkey. Levantine Arabic is the spoken language of region—a "language variety" in linguistic terms. It is the language of daily life, workplaces, and professional settings across the Levant. It is only replaced by Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) in formal contexts like news broadcasts, political speeches, and religious sermons. Whether you're ordering hummus in Damascus, in a meeting in Beirut, or want to express solidarity, or seeking to connect with Arabic communities in Europe, you will use Levantine Arabic. A key advantage is its widespread understandability. Most Arabic speakers from other regions, like Yemen, Egypt, and Tunisia, understand Levantine Arabic, though the reverse is not always true. This makes it a powerful tool for communication across the entire Arab world. As the Levantine Arabic Wikipedia page states, it is "one of the two prestige varieties of spoken Arabic comprehensible all over the Arab world." In my teaching, I prioritize natural pronunciation and phonology. Arabic, including the Levantine variety, uses vowel changes to convey grammar, such as indicating gender. I find that dedicating significant time to sounds profoundly accelerates skill development. The good news is that Levantine grammar is far simpler and less demanding than MSA or Classical Arabic. You can learn to use it confidently in a short time, unlike MSA, which requires a large time investment for limited daily use. (Note: Classical Arabic remains essential for Quranic or Islamic studies). My students in Germany and Europe include binational children, adult learners, and heritage speakers seeking to connect with family and community. Many have successfully bonded with local Palestinian and Syrian communities. My method includes post-lesson voice recordings for reference and a free, custom-designed booklet covering grammar, phonology, and expressions. I adapt to visual or auditory learning preferences to craft the most efficient path to fluency. I primarily use a Latin transliteration system, but I also offer tutoring in reading and writing the Arabic script in the beautiful Naskh font, upon request.

Trusted teacher: I love the process of teaching and learning alike, because I feel the same joy assisting someone to learn something, as if I had just learned something new and wonderful myself. For university level mechanical or related engineering students, I have over 3 years of official tutoring experience at the University of California, Davis, while studying Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. I enjoy helping you with Calculus, Differential Equations, Physics, and many more listed below: Differential, Integral, Vector, and Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Dynamics, Statics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Thermofluid Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, and Electrical Circuits and Systems. My tutoring philosophy consists of 3 core principles: - Positive feedback - Asking questions - Pen in your hand Positive feedback means that I will never become impatient with you, over-emphasize what you did wrong, make you feel bad for your mistakes, or make you feel stupid. Comfortably making lots of mistakes will help you learn better and retain your problem-solving process more easily. I will praise and congratulate you often for the concepts that you come to understand, and will point out that even if you don't reach the correct answer, there were many correct thinking-processes that you were using that deserve recognition. Asking questions means that I will never give you the answer directly, but rather confirm what you have right, and ask you targeted questions to help you think differently about the problems you are struggling with. I believe it is the most effective and most enjoyable way to learn something, when you manage to deduce some of the answers to your questions yourself. You will retain the concepts longer and it will better equip you to learn related topics in the future. Pen in your hand means that you will be the one driving the session. I want you to narrate your thoughts, decisions, and reasons for why you write down what you do. This will help understand the problem better by simply speaking it aloud, and it will help me better understand exactly what you do/don't understand.

Javier is an incredible teacher! He is not just teaching me piano, but really helping me to understand how music is structured and the reasons behind compositional choices. A very generous and experienced teacher, who is dedicated to broadening my music horizons and improving my playing freedom. I can highly recommend him, especially for intermediate players like myself who feel a bit lost and are looking for structure and direction.

I had a great first lesson using Ableton! Niki spent time helping me with my equipment set-up and also went through some of the settings with me. He explained things very clearly, answered my questions and showed me some of the basic things necessary to find my way as a beginner using Ableton. I now have a few things to try out and I'm excited to start experimenting and seeing what I can record. Thanks Niki!

I've been looking for a violin teacher for my kids and was happy to find Kellie, who is a patient and knowledgable teacher. My kids were happy to have an instructor again and motivated to practice new songs. Kellie is also very responsive and communicative. I would recommend her to others.
