IB Math & Physics tutor — AA/AI SL/HL and Physics SL/HL, documented IB results, since 2016Translate this text using Google Translate.

Renzo Diaz — IB Math (AA/AI) and Physics (SL/HL) tutor, online in CET. Teaching IB one-to-one since April 2016. M.Sc., Politecnico di Milano. Ten years teaching IB Math and Physics one-to-one, every lesson myself, and I publish the results I can prove: • a final 7 in IB Physics SL (May 2025, from a 3, the first exam session of the new syllabus) • a final 6 in IB Math AI HL (May 2025, from a 4) • Grade 7 in both IB Math AI SL exam papers (May 2024, from a 3) How I teach: bring the question your child keeps getting wrong. I find the first step that isn't reliable — a missing concept, a misread graph, an algebra slip — rebuild the explanation around how your child thinks, then change the question to check the fix holds. Each week starts from what is live at school and last week's wrong answers. IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA) — algebra, functions, calculus and proof, Paper 1 without a calculator and, at HL, Paper 3. Applications and Interpretation (AI) — modelling, statistics and the graphic display calculator. AA or AI, SL or HL: I help families decide from the university courses the student is aiming at. IB Physics, SL and HL, on the current guide: the five themes, Papers 1A, 1B and 2, data-based questions, uncertainties and graphs; at HL, the extensions and the long extended-response questions. My engineering training (M.Sc., Politecnico di Milano) shows in how I teach it: define the system, state the assumptions, then connect the model to the mathematics. The IA and the Extended Essay: guidance only, within the IB's academic-integrity rules — the student writes every word. Online on Central European Time, in English or Spanish.

High School and University Math/Physics in English (or Russian)Translate this text using Google Translate.

I see you got interested in me as in your potential tutor :) Here is some "short" description about me: I am a tutor of Math and Physics for High, Middle School and University students for more than 6 years in three languages. My students were successfully passing Finals, enrolling in Lyceums and Universities. In almost all the cases, my students were initially thinking that they don't like Mathematics and/or Physics, that "they are not that type of person that can succeed in that sphere". Solution of this problem is simple and obvious, just to try other approach of teaching. So my first lesson is aimed at finding the key for the student. And every time my main approach is to build friendly relations with a student, so both of us will have willing to attend the next lesson:) It is very hard to keep this balance between being a strict teacher asking homework and a friend that you can text in the messenger outside the class just to discuss a football match. So I will try my best to get one more friend and successful student! The program of my course is flexible and depending on the final purpose (Preparation for the exam, improving marks in the school) and time that we have. My lessons are usually a little bit longer than one hour or two, because I always make 5-10 minutes break, because student might get tired (especially in case of online lessons). After every lesson, I give the Homework to the student and at the beginning of every next lesson we are checking results, making corrections and I ask to explain the solution, if needed. My main goal is to make student understand the topic and with full knowledge pass exams

Tutor for Math, Physics, and Mechanical/Material Engineering coursesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Tutor for Math, Physics, and Mechanical/Material Engineering coursesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently work as a post-doctoral researcher in the Aerospace Engineering Faculty at TU Delft (Delft University of Technology). My extensive teaching experience covers a wide range of engineering courses, including: - Mathematics: algebra, linear algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, intellectual math, and advanced engineering mathematics. - Mechanical Engineering: Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, Applied Mechanics, Composite Structures, Flight, Machine Elements, Manufacturing, 3D printing, and more. - Physics: mechanics, momentum and energy, electricity, charge and current, electric and magnetic fields, waves, particle physics, nuclear decay, astrophysics, cosmology, oscillations, etc. - CAD/CAM Software: Autocad, Solidworks. - Mechanical Design Packages: ANSYS, APDL programming, ABAQUS, MATLAB, Symbolic MATLAB, LS-DYNA. My research and teaching interests are diverse, including: • Additive manufacturing • Mechanical metamaterials • Acoustical metamaterials • Electromagnetic metamaterials • Aeroacoustics • Soft matter and soft robotics • Fatigue and fracture mechanics • Experimental mechanics • Multiscale numerical modelling • Biomaterials • Porous materials • Manufacturing of medical devices and implants • Deep learning • Image processing • Topology optimization • Origami and Kirigami structures • Self-folding and self-assembly structures • Tissue engineering • Permeability in porous materials • Fluid-Solid Interaction I understand that not all teachers excel in teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and explaining their importance to students. Courses with strong mathematical backgrounds may become boring for students who lack a solid mathematical basis. To address this, I take a student-centered approach, starting from the basics to actively engage all students, including those with weaker mathematical backgrounds. I also provide practical examples to demonstrate the real-world significance of what they are learning, inspiring and fostering their interest in the subject matter. If you have any additional questions before starting a class, please feel free to ask me. I am here to assist! :)

“ It is with the utmost admiration and gratitude that I extend my effulgent endorsement for David, the epitome of mathematical tutorship. His fervor for the subject and his pupils is steadfast, and David’s commitment to ensuring proficiency and comprehension is manifest in every tutorial session. His availability is most pliable, as he exhibits a constant readiness to alter his docket to accede to the necessities of his students. This adaptability is rare and precious quality, one that has played a seminal role in my time near the finals. Not only do he demonstrate devotion during his scheduled lessons time, for he is always approachable for additional guidance and support outside his hours. “ My daughter had private tutoring for the Physics CCVX exam with Bibek, and we are extremely pleased with the experience. Bibek is a very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding tutor who truly focuses on the individual needs of the student. He adapts his teaching methods according to the student’s level and learning style, which helped my daughter gain confidence and improve her understanding of difficult concepts. Bibek was highly motivating and supportive throughout the process, encouraging her to stay focused and positive even under pressure. My daughter had a very tight deadline to pass the exam, and Bibek handled this challenge with excellent organisation and clear planning. He structured the lessons efficiently, prioritised key topics, and ensured that time was used effectively. Thanks to his guidance and dedication, my daughter was able to achieve her goal within a limited timeframe. Bibek demonstrates all the important qualities of a great tutor: strong subject knowledge, adaptability, clear communication, motivation, organisation, and genuine commitment to the student’s success. I would highly recommend him to any student looking for high-quality physics tutoring. ”

“ Prashil is hands down the best teacher my son has ever had the pleasure of learning from. He is inspiring, incredibly thoughtful, kind and genuinely talented at what he does. We started with in-person lessons and eventually moved to online sessions, and both have been fantastic. In fact, my son absolutely loves the online format! Prashil has a wonderful way of making learning engaging, enjoyable and fun, even through a screen. Since starting lessons with Prashil, I’ve seen a real difference in my son’s confidence, both in his learning and at school. It’s so much more than just academic progress. Prashil really knows how to bring out the best in a child. I couldn’t recommend him more highly! ”
