I'm Giorgos and i teach Lute and Classical guitar! I have over 15 years of teaching experience, and have studied and have my Degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, both in Classical Guitar as well as Historical Plucked instruments. I regularly perform in concert halls with orchestras and groups all around Europe, perform with my own ensembles based in Brussels and Italy, and enjoy an active teaching schedule. My aim with teaching is to find the best way to facilitate the student to find their own voice and direction, and to help steer them on their preferred road of performance. The schedule and repertoire are decided by the student, and we plot a course together depending on your goals, whether that's aiming to place into an academy or the conservatories, or if you just enjoy playing music as a hobby and wish that it accompanies you through your life! I'm looking forward to hear from you!

Hello everyone ! I am 39 years old, I am a professional guitarist and graduate composer. My rich and varied musical journey, going from "Art Rock" to Classic, passing by French song and currently jazz allowed me to acquire a beautiful experience that I like to share with my students. Obviously passionate about my favorite instrument, I am just as passionate about music theory. From baroque counterpoint to jazz harmony, from classical orchestration to digital music publishing, I have always thought that understanding the sound universe multiplies perspectives, opens up new horizons! My method is simple and has always proven to be effective: working in symbiosis with pure instrumental technique and the general understanding of music, its cogs which seem to the novice musician so mysterious. In addition to basic instrument learning, I also teach: 🎸️ Experimental instrumental techniques 🎸️ Work of virtuosity 🎸️ Picking game 🎤️ How to go well with singing 🎵️ Arrangement 🎵️ Composition 🎵️ Harmony (classical or jazz) 🎵️ Improvisation 💻️ MAO (Computer Aided Music) Exploring musical styles: #Pop #EXP #Classique #Electro #Jazz #Jazz Manouche #Art & Hard Rock #Chanson Française #Blues #Funk (60's / 70's) 🎥️ Possibility of lessons by webcam ️🇬🇧️ I also speak English 🏡️ I give lessons mainly at my home: Châtelain district in Ixelles, many transport nearby: 🚊️ bus (54), tram (92, 94, 81.) and metro (Louise). 🐸️ GREAT BEGINNERS welcome! (no prior knowledge necessary) See you soon !

I offer advanced lesson in compositions for students who are already writing would like to improve any aspects of their practice, or to revisit fundamentals and find new ways to develop material. I also have a special interest in experimentation and alternative notations so feel free to bring your wildest ideas! For Guitar: I work mainly with beginners / improvers, and my approach is to teach the techniques of various artists through learning songs as they were originally played. For fingerpicking this includes for example Nick Drake, Elliott Smith, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, and many more! Alongside this we will cover the basics of guitar playing, going equally into alternative tunings and extended techniques. I am very patient, and can always find the right way to explain something, so the lessons will move at the ideal pace for you.

My methodology is simple. Who plays, progresses. Thus, I believe that the best way to progress on the guitar is the direct integration in a group playing context. That is to say, after having reviewed the essential basics of the guitar (main chords, transition from one chord to another, rhythmic, ...), I intend to play with the student and let him express his creativity, let it wake up little by little. I would therefore like to organise each session on a different theme where we would find: a simple and short theory point followed by a practical application of this and an illustration through a known piece. I will of course listen carefully to my student's preferences as to the choice of musical genre. Bring your wildest ideas to life, learn the guitar! I seek above all to put forward the game with the instrument, and connect it to the theory. You do not have to know music theory at your fingertips to learn how to play an instrument, and if you want to progress more effectively and understand what you are doing and why you are doing it, the theory becomes an asset. There is no age limit when the courses I offer, suitable for both the youngest and the oldest, whether the practice of the instrument or solfeggio. We will approach the report to the instrument, with a method that focuses on the qualitative rather than the quantitative. The education of the ear is essential, with step-by-step progression and beneficial background work for the instrument. The learning of harmony, improvisation and reading are paths that we can explore at your convenience. Finally we will adapt the course to suit your style preferences and pieces that inspire you. Music is and must remain a pleasure and a passion.
