Bonjour, Je m'appelle Fabien MARCEAU.

Trusted teacher: Guitarist, singer, poet, composer, performer ... and with 20 years of teaching experience, I am happy to share my experience and my know-how: both from a technical point of view (musical knowledge, instrumental or vocal technique ...) than from a more global point of view: expressiveness, body awareness, confidence, creativity ... What interests me above all is to guide you towards more relaxation and confidence as well as autonomy with his or her instruments, to accompany his curiosity, to develop his musical sense and give him the means to go towards the music (s) that attract him. I like to work from what touches you: welcome to those who know what pieces they dream of playing, what style they like!!... instrumental technique and music are learned all the better through what we like (starting from learning a piece to learn a rhythm, reading new notes, knowing more about a style of music, the form of music, etc.) GUITAR SIDE I am competent for: - accompany the learning of the accompaniment guitar (repertoire pop folk rock English speaking French songs of all kinds, trad music, basics of bossa and blues ...) - teach the techniques and repertoire of the classical guitar: know the different styles (baroque, renaissance, classical, traditional Hispanic and South American, contemporary and so on!), acquire dexterity, look for the sonic subtleties of the instrument... - guide the little ones (from 6 years old) to discover the instrument and the music; VERSATILITY and CREATIVITY! I support all projects that need a guitar AND a voice: - do you want to sing along? I teach what is missing in guitar, what is missing in vocals and I have a toolbox today full to facilitate the coordination of the two! - do you want to compose, write songs, or do you have texts but not the chords, you have the melodies but not the words? ... Do you feel stuck in some part of the process? I can help you unwind the thread of your creativity, better understand your gestures, your "dough", find new paths etc ...

Trusted teacher: Hello, my name is Benoit, I am a jazz & contemporary music guitarist and guitar teacher for more than 15 years in music schools, associations and at home. I studied Jazz at the Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory and graduated from the American School Of Modern Music. I seek with my lessons to develop your desire to make music and your creativity. My courses and content will allow you to immerse yourself in an exciting practice. Pleasure and requirement are the keywords of my learning method. You will quickly be able to play a current, rich and varied repertoire. In addition to private lessons, I provide you with free videos, scores & tablatures. Who are the classes for? Children: From 7 years old, learning notes in a playful and progressive way. We explore music theory, tablatures, rhythm and melody thanks to card games specially developed for the youngest: recognition, 7 families, pair games, Memory, etc. Your child discovers the instrument and the technique while being able to quickly play familiar tunes! Classes usually last 30 minutes. Teen: The goal is not to spend too much time on the theoretical aspect of music theory (reading notes etc.) but to see the basic techniques of the instrument in order to be able to play and have fun quickly. From the first lessons you will play the pieces of your choice, I will guide you and accompany you. Pleasure and satisfaction guaranteed! Adults: Have you always dreamed of learning to play the guitar? You played when you were young and want to get back to it? Did the "conservatory" method disappoint you or does it not suit you? My approach and my experience will allow you to learn or deepen the instrument and your knowledge at your own pace thanks to a multitude of pieces, scores, playbacks and tutorials. This will help you to develop or perfect the essential techniques for playing the guitar and also to play a repertoire to your liking. Classes usually last 60 minutes. If you are self-employed or have flexible working hours during the day, I can come to your place of work. I can also give video lessons to coach you or if you are on the go. For what levels? Beginner: You quickly take the instrument in hand, I guide you to acquire in a few sessions the technical gestures and the basic notions in order to be autonomous with your guitar. Intermediate: You develop a repertoire in line with your tastes and desires. I advise you and challenge you to make you progress. Advanced: You improve your technique thanks to the study of statements of reference guitarists and different Jazz / Rock / Blues / Gypsy styles such as: John Scofield, Wes Montgomery, Peter Bernstein, George Benson, Django Reinhardt etc... Together we work on the writing and the balance of musical phrases, chord sequences, notions of tension and resolution, which will allow you to create your own music and refine your style. I advise you on the right software and musical software (writing/Sibelius, tabalture/Guitarpro, Recording/Ableton, creation/Reason etc...) How are the lessons going? Face to face, at your home, mine, or video, I adapt to your possibilities and your wishes. Those who wish to meet other musicians can join a group. I also organize courses (between 8 and 10 people) during school holidays, on various subjects: Deepening your repertoire, improvising with pentatonics, group games, picking techniques, etc. Do not hesitate to contact me if you want more information! Musically & see you soon! Benoît ♫

Trusted teacher: After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

Private French lessons for 1 or 2 in the Antibes area (Antibes)
Benoit is a natural teacher and I think has the rare quality to empathise with his students. So whether he is teaching young children, bright adults or struggling grown ups like myself he can sense your difficulties and intuitively develop your skills. I found his manner easy, engaging and with just the right amount of challenge to make you feel progress and confident. To my surprise we spent the first half hour conversing in French. At the end of the lesson he can me work sheets he’d thought about and prepared himself. I would wholeheartedly recommend Benoit. Bravo Benoit. Ian
Guitar and bass in English! Guitar, Electric Bass and Song Production! (Ferney-Voltaire)
I have had lessons with Jonny for more than two months now and am very happy to have found him. He tailors his teaching to your musical interests and skill level, is fun and instructive, and always has a few concrete tips you can immediately take away and apply to your playing. Will definitely continue!

Private French lessons, spelling and grammar, for young and old (Saint-Genis-Laval)
Audrey was great. I was only able to have a small number of classes whilst i was visiting Lyon this time but I felt i made good progress. She arranged a good mix of conversation, comprehension and grammar exercises. I will definitely contact her to continue my lessons when i am next visiting Lyon.
