Trusted teacher: I am a professional musician, graduated from the International Music Academy with honors. Dynamic, attentive and passionate, I love music more than anything, regardless of your style and level. My goal is to make you love this instrument that I love, and I hope, facilitate its learning! :-) Above all, I am a guitarist, so I accompanied artists such as Alex Hepburn, Amandine Bourgeois (Nouvelle Star 2008), Madina Lake, Far Plain and others. I had the chance to cross paths or to jam with great masters like Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big), Andy Timmons, Shawn Lane, Joey Tafolla, Laurent Vernerey (Johnny Hallyday), Loïc Pontieux (Julien Clerc), or Variety artists such as Bruno Solo and Yvan Le Bolloc'h (Camera Café), Les Citizens (Lido), Régis Ceccarelli (Carla Bruni), Dale (Nouvelle Star 2009), etc. I had the opportunity to perform in many different places and countries: in France of course but also in Switzerland, England, Algeria .. With an average of 160 dates per year. But above all, I am here to share with you what I have learned. I have always taught, as soon as I could. It starts at the MAI for summer internships and now it's been 20 years of experience in Paris and Lyon, through various organizations: Allegro, ICM, Fasiladom, Hupiagono, etc. I also have a Mix-Master inge-son training at the CFSM under the direction of Nicolas SAFFRAY. Trusted teacher: Have you always dreamed of playing the guitar? It's never too late ! Come learn the basics of guitar in just one week with an experienced teacher and a graduate in music pedagogy. An intensive course of 10h (2h per day for 5 days, corresponding to 2 and a half months of weekly classes) where you will see the essentials to really start playing the guitar. During the course you will learn: To grant you To hold your guitar The most useful chords on the guitar to play any song The most used rhythms To use a capo To play with the pick To play in arpeggios Use tablatures And finally know how to tackle a single song to become autonomous The course runs from Monday to Friday in July in Paris. 4 sessions are organized: July 2-6 July 9th to 13th July 16 to 20 July 23 to 27 Schedules are flexible depending on demand and can be done in the evening. You do not have a guitar! A guitar can be lent to you (depending on the available stock) I'm waiting for you to start! Some information about the speaker: Aurélien begins the guitar at 13 years old. After a career as a stage musician Aurélien joined the CIM a music school whose fame is well established and where are released great names of the French scene (Matthieu Chédid, Youn Sun Nah, Angélique Kidjo, Patrick Bruel, Magic Malik). Then he became passionate about music pedagogy and decided to do his job to transmit his passion for music and passed the diploma of music pedagogy DFPM provided by ANSEP2A to consolidate its achievements. Today Aurélien is a professor in several Parisian professional structures for 10 years and continues to transmit the pleasure of playing.

Trusted teacher: I am an eclectic and curious musician, before any contrabassist. I am also a composer and arranger. After a master of sociology I make the decision to train myself professionally; I return simultaneously to the conservatory of Agen in jazz and conservatory of Bordeaux in classical to learn bass. Then, in 2014, I confirm a National Superior Professional Musician Diploma at the Pole Supérieur Paris Boulogne Billancourt through the training at the Didier Lockwood Music Center. I was trained retrospectively by Jean-Paul Macé, Kent Carter, Gilles Naturel, Marc-Michel Lebevillon, Cristian Diaz, Jean Michel Charbonel, Chris Jennings, Cristophe Dal-sasso, and Carine Bonnefoy (for writing). All these people have nourished my love and passion for music, which remains for me a long way to explore in search of new knowledge. It is the diversity of cultures and the wealth of knowledge that drives me to continue to study everything within my reach. I'm interested in jazz, classical music, Indian music, rock and electronic music ... I hate taboos and separations between the musical worlds and I think that everyone wins to share their knowledge and their modes of operation. My way of thinking about learning Music: I prefer to stay on a principle of pleasure and sharing specific to music. I find it important to adapt to feed the motivation of the student, especially for young people with whom it is very important to have a fun approach. Too many students leave demotivated classes of music schools or conservatory; that I practiced for 5 years (since despite my criticisms I still have a prize of jazz conservatory and I followed the training to obtain the DE of jazz which is a diploma of pedagogy). This involves learning the mechanisms based on improvisation, understanding chords, rhythm and melody. Regarding the repertoire I am based on the culture of the students, after all they are the main concerned! So the choices of the pieces depend on the desires and the tastes. The mode of learning depends on the musical style approached, for example I will not make music theory to someone who wants to play the AC / DC (unless he wishes) conversely a person who wants to address jazz can hardly do without notions about harmony. The purpose of this approach is to develop the independence of the student. The teacher is there to accompany the student at the beginning; he must not become a guardian who can sometimes be transformed over the years into a crutch! This is my way of seeing pedagogy!

Home Course: The guitar with the right techniques (Paris)
Christophe
I took the class because I had a problem with the way I play (the technique). - He will see what you know already, and start from there. - He gives a few tricks at a time, and relies heavily on repetition between these tricks. His idea is to form the right habits and to learn to play without thinking. -He will probably not begin with the style you want (eg: I wanted spanish guitars but started with basic chords). This is normal because there is an overlap in techniques between different styles and sometimes it’s necessary to begin with another style. -The time will pass faster than you think, and you won’t be that tired (your fingers will hurt though). - I improved objectively after just the 1st lesson. -He charges differently depending on the location. Basically, I would NOT recommend him only if I DIDN’T want you to learn how to play guitars! You can take the class and feel safe, you’re in the hands of an awesome teacher!

Professional musician teaches guitar and flamenco lessons (Montrouge)
Théo
I tried Théo for spanish guitars. -Technique: He will tell you what to do. Then he will give you similar exercises to enhance the technique. Not intimidating at all. He will give you the time you need and will go back and forth over it at separate stages so you don’t burn out. -Content: He will give you some chords, notes, and tabs of the type of music you want, adjusted to your level. He prefers giving you the content, telling you the technique, and then leaving you to practise (since the content can be found easily on the internet). -Melody: I personally struggle with timing my music right. I must say he made it easier for me. He will have you practice one part of the tabs till you get the beat right. Then he will slowly add the rest of the tabs that come along so you don’t lose the rhythm. -Interaction: punctual (he won’t come 15mins late and leave on time). Honest. Clear. I enjoyed the lesson, I would definitely recommend him.

Graduate teacher, teaching classical guitar in conservatory, I propose courses of guitar all levels (beginners welcome also (Pantin)
Sébastien
I have played guitar (self-taught) for many years, but on classical guitar I am a beginner. While visiting Paris I had two lessons with Sébastien at his place. Before starting we had coffee and talked to get to know each other and plan the lessons and what music to work on. During the lessons he gave valuable input on technique, sound and interpretation, and many suggestions for exercises and further study. Sébastien speaks good English, he is very patient and friendly, but also enthusiastic and knowledgeable about music. I was not able to bring my own guitar, but he let me use one of his, and even loaned me one so I could practice in my hotel room between lessons. Highly recommended!
