I have to start by admitting something: I haven't passed any of my math exams in the humanities. I spent a long time telling myself that a scientific career was not for me. When I decided to try engineering anyway, I had to relearn everything from scratch, by myself. At the beginning I would have been quite incapable of passing a second humanity level exam. Months of hard, self-taught work pushed me to develop a working method focused on deep understanding of a subject rather than just withholding information. Through this private lesson project I dream of being the person I would have needed a few years ago, a person who in addition to allowing the student to succeed, transmits the motivation to learn. I am a Master student in civil engineering with a degree in applied mathematics, I offer my services throughout Belgium and for all students who have difficulties or who want to break records in school. I have an experience of more than 3 years and a fairly variable methodology depending on the student. In my methodology I always want first to help the student to catch up with his classmates and teachers and then push him to go much further in his thoughts while having fun and without the slightest pressure. As a student I know how difficult it is sometimes to learn and assimilate subjects. My first student was a family friend whom I helped in high school in subjects such as math and science. She had a lot of difficulties and failures and it turns out that following my lessons which lasted two months and the entire duration of her exam session during which I followed and supported her, she came out with a report card without failures and a very large positive difference in marks compared to her last. Since then, I have had the opportunity to help several students in their journey from the first secondary to the first year of university.

I am currently a doctoral student in chemistry in my final year at UCLouvain and a teaching assistant for science, bio-engineer and management engineer students for 5 years. I also hold the aggregation of upper secondary education. I teach individuals in chemistry by adapting myself as well as possible to your level by starting as much as possible from the basics which often pose the most problems. I take pleasure in trying to make this subject more understandable, which, it must be admitted, is rather separate and complex. I also try to make chemistry concepts more perceptible using concrete examples of their usefulness. I usually work in two-hour lessons with a break in the middle and provide additional exercises to do at home to optimize learning. I teach classes in English or French. Hello, I study mathematics at UCL in master 2 in didactic orientation (to become a teacher in secondary school). I am doing my youth and health training (training to be a leader) and I have many years of scouting behind me so contact with young people in general is not bad! ;-) I try to help the student as well as possible to get back on track to fully understand the subject and pass his year. I help the student in his homework, to prepare the questioning with a refresher course. But I also gladly help the student to find a work method that suits him.

As an associate teacher of upper secondary education (chemistry, physics and biology) and a bio-engineer by training, I offer individual remedial and / or advanced courses for high school students in mathematics and science. My goal is to help students succeed in these subjects and to prepare them for exams at best.
