Trusted teacher: I specialise in violin and viola lessons for ABRSM exams. I have been teaching since 2012, and since 2016 I have also been teaching over Skype. My students have had many successful results for ABRSM exams, high school scholarship auditions and local music competitions. I have been teaching theory grades 1-5 for since 2018, with some students achieving distinction level results. I teach internationally via Skype with students in the UK, Denmark, Sweden, and the USA. Through my high level of teaching, you child will be taught how to pass the exams to the very best of their capability, with focus on the technique of the instrument, and how to perform. I have previously taught in Hill House International School, and Hampden Gurney (London). I have studied with many of the leading teachers in Europe and the USA. I started my education at Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music (London), where I studied with James Sleigh for five years. I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and the National Youth Strings Academy. I the studied my Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music (London), where I studied with Andriy Viytovych. I have a Masters of Music from Trinity Laban College of Music and Dance (London), studying under Roger Chase, and a Masters in Fine Art from Gothenburg University (Sweden) with Øvyor Volle (Vertavo Quartet). I also studied in the USA at the Manhattan School of Music, New York, and Chicago College of Performing Arts. I work as a professional viola player across the UK and Scandinavia, with such orchestras as The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the Royal Opera House (Stockholm), Bergen Philharmonic, Norwegian Radio, Gothenburg Symphony, Norrkoping Symphony, Jonkoping Sinfonietta, Aarhus Symphony, and English National Ballet Philharmonic. I am also a music arranger and transcriber.

Art of violin - music lessons for all levels and ages (Rijeka)
Edi
Thank you infinitely and definitely recommend Edi! He is an amasing teacher, a marvellously fine musician and a great violinist and violist. During the lesson everything is explained, shown, refined! How much mental strength is invested with love into the lessons! There is no doubt that the violin/viola is Edi’s passion, and not just a profession, and this is passed on to and inspires me. I am glad that I found him as a viola teacher. I admire Edi’s talent, ability to formulate educational material, the learning process itself and the ability to create a wonderfully warm atmosphere during the lessons and in his follow-up emails. In addition to Edi’s pedagogical qualities, he is also a very pleasant, positive and interesting person with wonderfully diverse intellectual interests. Edi is a wonderful violin/viola teacher, a very fine musician, and a charming person! A talented, kind, sympathetic man in love with music!

Javier is a great instructor. His accomplishments as a musician are impressive alone but then skillfully cultivates a love of the instrument with his students. Thank you Javier for taking interest in others and sharing your gifts of teaching!
