Singing lessons for all levels and age. For beginners, together we can discover the range of your voice and build the breathing and singing technique. At the same time we will work on music theory, ear training and how to read a score. For mature singers, we can delve into the singing technique and interpretation and add pieces in your repertoire. The lessons are provided both online and in person and can be held in English or Greek. I also speak some Italian and German. About me I have been playing the piano for 15 years. I have studied Classical Singing in the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata (Greece) and I have followed a two-year Early Music Programme in Athens Conservatoire. At the same time I studied Music Theory (Harmony) at the Greek National Conservatoire from which I gained my Harmony degree. In addition, I have a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Here in The Netherlands, I finished my masters at the Utrechts Conservatorium and worked as a singer at the NKK NXT 2022-2023. I have participated in Operas (“Julius Cesar”- 2015 in Athens Concert Hall and “Alcina”-2019 in Odeon of Herodes Atticus) as a member of a vocal ensemble and I have also performed as a soloist in many concerts. Some of the stages I have performed are: Concertgebouw Amsterdam, TivoliVredenburg, Schouwburg Concertzaal Tilburg, Athens Concert Hall, Greek National Opera and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.

I am an experienced singer in jazz and popular music styles. Besides that I am a songwriter and arranger. I like to teach everyone in a personal way, that fits with your interests and talents. In the end I always apply different topics, such as singing technique, rhythm, songwriting, interpretation and presentation. * I like to teach you techniques and to give you tools that makes it easier to sing and to find your own sound. * Besides how to sing, I like to teach you about music, so you can apply your singing skills when you want to apply your musicality f.e. in a band, a choir etc. * I can teach you how to write songs, lyrics, melodies and chords. * I believe that interpretation and presentation are a big part of singing and also how they give you tools to sing better.

My classes are different depending on your level and age. With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs. With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to more advanced. Classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!

I’m Elena, I’m Italian and I’m an opera singer, currently actively performing in the contemporary field :) On top of my artistic career, which is now 20+ years old, I have 10 years of solid everyday experience in the musical teaching field, with particular regards for online teaching. My specialties are: teaching opera voice and kids’ vocality. For both of these, any level, even absolute beginner is 100% welcome! I’ve been training children and teens ever since I graduated from my position at La Scala children choir at 18 years old. I love working with kids, and it warms my heart to think of how many little faces I have already had the privilege of meeting thanks to this career. I have helped so many access to the children choirs of their respective cities, and with so many many others I have simply participated in their musical learning journey, which makes me equally proud and happy. These lessons are for young and/or inexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some, this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation. If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed). *My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to assess vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.

Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.
