About Me

Hello, I am MIke, music composer and pianist living in Berlin.
I gained a diploma in piano, harpsichord and composition at Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in Venice, and later a diploma for orchestra conducting at Accademia Chigiana in Siena. I further developed the study of classical composition with the internationally reknowned composers and music pedagogues M° Wolfango Dalla Vecchia and M° Bruno Coltro.

Hello, my name is Oscar and I am a Violin and Piano teacher from the UK, now living in Bristol, after several years of living abroad.

I've been teaching and performing on both instruments for 5 years, during, and after my studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. I have taught children from the age of four, up to adults in their late sixties, and I find all spectrums of age and ability rewarding and engaging to work with. Regarding Violin tuition, I am happy to teach up to any level. On the piano, I, however, currently prefer to teach up to an ABRSM grade 8 level, and not far above it.
My musical endeavors, whilst focused predominantly on the Classical style in my early childhood, have become quite varied and I am a great lover of many different styles. I play regularly in Klezmer bands, Celtic Folk groups and I run a Gypsy Jazz Collective, besides performing with Orchestra's, Small string ensembles, and as a Solo Violinist.
Whilst I wouldn't consider myself to be an expert, I thoroughly enjoy guiding people through the early stages of learning to improvise, and I am equally comfortable working with students in this way as I am teaching in a more traditional, classically-orientated manner.

Offer piano lessons for beginners, those returning to school, as well as advanced players aged 7-18.
With me you will learn how to write notes, read, harmony theory (chord formation) and also how to work independently on a piece. The lessons are of course adapted to each individual. I offer piano lessons for children (from 7 years), teenagers and adults (no age limit). For beginners I use the Bastian piano school as basic material. I also offer music theory. This makes it easier to read music and you get a better understanding of the music.
