I work independently with students and tailor my teaching to suit their individual needs in order to prepare them for their SATS, 11+ grammar school tests or for general confidence building.
I am happy to provide most of the material for my classes.
I give homework after each class.
All homework is marked, discussed and corrected.
Progress reports are given to parents periodically.

Most material will be provided in loose leaf pages but I am also happy to work with any material the student already possesses.

I am a very driven individual when it comes to education. I am willing to work hard and I can guarantee excellent progress over a short period of time. Also, I have over 11years experience working within education. This includes preparing children for SATs, Phonics Screening and other major exams.

Children will be exposed to a well broad and balance curriculum. There will be regular assessment cycles to measure impact and progress. This information will be used to produce reports. Lessons will be fun, personalised and accessible to all learners. Homework will be given after each lesson to consolidate learning.

I will be teaching the basics of English and help your child understand the language. I will be doing various activities in order to improve their reading, writing and speaking. They will learn how to structure sentences, reading fluently and improving their vocabulary.

In my lessons, you’ll have teaching which will be suited to your needs. As a tutor of experience of 6 years, I have all the tricks and tips needed to get into Grammar Schools, to stay on top of your class, to achieve A’s and A*’s (8,9) at GCSE level too!

Language coaching is similar to any other coaching situation like in sports, singing, acting: it helps create training situations, offer feedback, provide encouragement and give direction to help facilitate the most effective and efficient learning experience for each individual.

Weekly assigned homework and monthly round assessments to make sure students knowledge is consolidated throughout teaching, the lesson will be centred and paced around the students level of understanding and capabilities, my teaching style is flexible to all types of students.

I've completed my GCSEs a little over a year ago , I'm on here to fund myself in the future (primarily university) .
I've averaged above an A (above grade 7) overall with recent experience and am still attending sixth form . Because of this I'll be able to easily relate to and figure out the needs of my tutee as I was in their position not too long ago .
I myself studied based on topic rather than necessarily textbooks , this means that I can make due with any textbook or other material (this accounts for difference in exam boards).
I can teach a concept from the ground up , or to solidify knowledge on topics as well as teach the basic principles for understanding the topic in the first place . I'm especially good at understanding and taking advantage of mark schemes to maximise grades , despite if the topic is completely unbeknownst to you . Though this seems minor , this tactic means you'll almost never score zero marks on a question . Ergo : if you can do half of the questions on a 100 mark test you'll get around 50 marks (high C to low B grade , grade 5 to 6) however even without understanding the rest it's easy to get at least another 15 marks up to around 25 (you usually cannot get over half marks without getting close to the answer , which is why half the remaining marks is a typical maximum) putting your grade up to to a minimum of a strong B or a maximum of a solid A (min of a grade 6 and max of grade 8) all of which requires minimal work which you won't forget . In English a similar thing can be done with punctuation , so long as you use a type of punctuation once ; you can score easy additional marks and get more marks on other criteria due to the examiner's bias . This is my forté .
