I am a student at the Conservatory of Amsterdam for classical guitar. I also have a lot of experience with Jazz and Pop. My lessons are purely focused on the wishes and needs of the student. I adapt to them and guide the student to achieve his/her goals.

There are 2 parts we can work on: Technique and real pieces. As a guideline we can learn pieces that I can choose for the student (or if the student has a special request for a piece that is always welcome!). And if something doesn't work out well we can focus on the technique and improve it before we continue. That way it always stays educational and fun!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
Extra information
Bringing your own guitar is useful. Any accessories the student uses are also recommended to bring. If the student has a textbook, please bring that as well.

About Me
Hi! I am Adi, a passionate guitarist with a broad musical background. I have been playing guitar for years and have immersed myself in styles such as classical, bossa nova, flamenco and Brazilian music. I am currently studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where I am further developing my playing and knowledge. Besides guitar, I also play a little piano and like to sing while playing.
Music is not only a passion for me, but also a way to be creative and tell stories. Whether you are a beginner who wants to learn the first chords, or are already advanced and want to refine your technique and interpretation, I am happy to help you!

My Teaching Method
My lessons are tailored to your level, interests and learning style. Do you want to build a solid foundation with chords and rhythms? Or do we dive deeper into fingerpicking, improvisation or music theory? Everything is possible! My approach is practical, personal and focused on your musical growth.
In addition to technique and theory, we pay attention to musicality and expression. I make sure that you not only learn to play, but also understand how music works and how to develop your own style. And most importantly: making music should be fun!

What Can You Expect?
-Personal guidance and tailor-made lessons
-A relaxed and motivating atmosphere
-Focus on technique, musicality and self-expression
-Practical exercises and songs that you like
-(Possibly) insight into music theory and how to apply it in your playing

Whether you dream of beautiful fingerstyle arrangements, want to learn to accompany better or perfect your classical technique, I am happy to help you! Feel free to contact me and we will discuss what suits you best.

Hope to see you soon!

Are you tired of reading tabs yet not being able to play your favorite songs on the guitar? Are you tired of putting a lot of effort into practice but still not meeting your guitar goals? Or do you just want to pick up a few songs on the guitar to impress your friends/colleagues without the hassle of committing to some serious music theory?

If your answers to all of this are a resounding YES! then congratulations, you're in the right place.

I believe the biggest lesson I can share with you about playing the guitar is: practice! and inspiration. Practise is critical, and you can't practice if you're uninspired.
Do you want to:

a. Learn easy songs and entertain people?
b. Play live or record?
c. Move on quickly to an electric guitar?
d. Get the blues/country vibes?
e. Get the flamenco (Phrygian) vibes?
f. Play percussive guitar?
g. Play instrumental guitar (no singing)?
h. Cover pop songs?
i. Compose?!?!?!?

On the very first meeting, we will discuss your desired guitar goals and realize if I'd be able to help you with them. If you do choose to go ahead with me for guitar classes, the curriculum will look something like this:

1. Music appreciation (this is important for being inspired! the more videos you watch the better! I have playlists you can follow for now and develop your own taste in guitar playing).
2. Finding your way on the fretboard.
3. Finger exercises.
4. Fingerstyle picking/ plucking (depending on the genres that inspire you the most now).
5. Scales, arpeggios, chords, and chord families.
6. Cover songs.
7. Music theory.
8. Keeping up with the tempo (not Kardashians 😛 )
9. Improvisation and play by ear (or eyes)

In professional classes, they'll teach you tempo way earlier but I think it kills the mood for learning. Hence, that is something I intend to cover later. Realistically, we can partially complete steps 1 through 6. Steps 7, 8, and 9 will indeed take a lot of time.

So, what are you waiting for? If you like my vibe and have a passion for music, feel free to join my classes!

Happy guitaring!
