In addition to private coaching, I also work for an online ESL company delivering English lessons to children across a range of age groups. In addition, I also work as an ESL proofreader and IELTS private tutor here in The Hague. I hold a BA (Hons) degree and have a CELTA qualification. Prior to a career in ESL English teaching, I worked in the UK national press for the Times and Financial Times newspapers. It was there I developed my proofreading and communications skills. In my spare time, I write articles for magazines and have had feature stories published in The Telegraph magazine, The Daily Mail and a number of health magazines. I have also written two language books. The first, 'I Already Speak Speak French!' is an illustrated book for children that covers the etymology of many English words to their French origin (attached is a sample of it for your interest!). It has been translated for the French market into, 'I Already Speak English!' The second book is called, 'Learn Business English FAST!' which draws on a teaching methodology used for effective, fast learning that I used whilst teaching English for the international company, GoFluent.

Trusted teacher: Hi there! My name is Norica. I am a pianist and a piano teacher from Tokyo. Just quickly to the point: My approach is holistic and systematic. It uses lots of fun exercises and nice educational materials from Japan in addition to the Internationally recognized standard books. (Don't worry, you don't have to understand Japanese!) You learn not only how to play piano but also how music works- music theory. I know what my students are good at and not so good at right off the bat. That's why I can tailor the lesson plans to their goals and needs. Also, if you like to take an ABRSM exam, the syllables will be tailored accordingly. So what will be tested on the day of the exam is integrated into the lessons and my class/lesson offers all-round preparation for the exam. I have helped my students pass G1, 3, 5 and 6 with a good score. Another important aspect of my lesson is to focus on improving cognitive skills - increasing memory, right-hand-left-hand-coordination, sustained attention, nonverbal communication, and a feeling of independence and freedom. I do so with unique materials from Japan and fun training. Currently students from 4 to 76 years old are taking my lessons. Do you have a song that you've written that you believe could be amazing? Do you already have some skills using a DAW like Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools or Garage band? Would you like a new set of 'arrangers/producers ears' to redefine your song, reimagine it or simply improve what you have to bring it up to the best possible level? I have worked in these areas where the boundary between composition, production and arrangement becomes blurred. The truth is they are inseparable to the end result and imagination is everything. So is an extra set of ears! Thats were I can help. Which instrument to use ? (bass guitar or bass synth), which keys sound and where to place it in the mix. Where to set that high pass filter on the vocal? How much saturation does the snare need? Musical arrangement and instrumentation Production techniques, in the context of mixing How best to use harmony in string quartets, or choirs or horn sections How to place the guitar? Does it even need one? I can give creative input and advise having written and composed more than 150 songs and recorded approximately 100+. Having run a UK based record label for almost 20 years. If using a studio DAW, my experience is mainly with LogicPro although most creative 'arrangement' decisions do not need to be technical knob twiddling. My background as a musician is vocals and guitars but as an arranger I've worked with everything.

We booked and experienced a trial lesson at few days ago. She is an experienced teacher with excellent teaching experience. She is willing to communicate and is willing to teach with different level of children. She explores the children's talents and also wiling to set learning goals with the children’s & parents. She uses her own teach way to arouse children's interest into music. My daughter likes Sana very much.

Great teacher! Very prepared for each lesson and flexible in helping out with specific language problems. He quickly picks up on your level and then adapts his speaking and teaching to match it, while pushing for greater skills all the while in a fun way and with self designed tests and questions. Very eager to really help you along in speaking and understanding Japanese. 10/10 would recommend!
