Whether you are a true beginner, intermediate, or an advanced English speaker who is simply looking for someone to practice with, I am here to help. I have a true understanding of how intimidating learning a new language can be and tailor each lesson to suit your individual needs. We will assess what you already know and work together to set goals that will push you out of your comfort zone but not be overwhelming. Since moving to Rotterdam I have helped many students work towards their English language learning goals. I have experience teaching ESL (English as a second language) for business and regularly help ESL students prepare for interviews. A little about the lessons: I like to use a variety of materials to build my lessons but a typical lesson will focus on a relevant topic to suit your interests and needs, and give you various opportunities to practice listening, comprehension, discussion, formation of complex thoughts and ideas, reading, and building vocabulary. I like to utilize technology when it can be used to enrich the lesson and assign homework as a continuation of our session. *My rate includes our time together as well as additional time spent outside of class preparing your individualized lessons/materials and building a program that works best for your English language learning needs. What an exceptional French teacher Mathilde is! She carefully coordinated with me to design a customized trial class for my (reluctant) 7-year-old daughter. They ended up baking a cake together, discussing ingredients and process in French only - and by the end of the class my daughter was a French enthusiast, already putting full sentences together. I have appreciated Mathilde’s dedication, patience and teaching skills immensely, and I genuinely cannot recommend her enough.

We focused the lessons on learning communication, rather than studying the language. We add the things we practice to a document, and he sends it at the end of the class. Even though I started from zero, he's been quite patient and kind. And by now, zero-stress with grammar/theory. After a month, I am starting to be able to have a simple conversation at a store without barely help of another language, and I am taking a liking of Dutch.

Best way to learn a laungage is from a native speaker. Rosa was very professional always arriving on time and having a clear plan on how the lesson will progress. She also sent me via e-mail links to websites were I could practice what I have learnt with exercises. I highly recommend Rosa to anyone who is looking for a professional, punctial and flexible teacher.
