Jong of oud, beginner of expert: iedereen kan deelnemen aan de workshop. Je moet dus zeker geen professionele tekenaar zijn om een grappige karikatuur te kunnen maken. Er is maar één regel: plezier maken!

- Duur? Twee uur is ideaal. Ik kan de workshop karikatuurtekenen één keer, enkele keren per dag of enkele keren per week geven.
- De materialen zijn inbegrepen in de prijs. Ik breng alles mee.
- Minimum: 5 personen; Maximum: 20 personen
- Hoe verloopt de workshop?
Stap per stap bestuderen we samen het gezicht van ons model. Welke vorm heeft het hoofd? Hoe ziet de neus eruit? Dikke of dunne lippen? Ik doe elke stap voor en geef tips en tricks om een leuke karikatuur te maken.
Het getekende model is meestal een leidinggevende zoals een monitor, een leerkracht, een manager of een diensthoofd. Dat zorgt voor heel wat hilariteit en het gevoel voor humor van het model wordt op de proef gesteld.
Op het einde van de workshop maak ik nog eens een karikatuur van het model om alle stappen te herhalen. De deelnemers tonen vervolgens hun karikaturen aan elkaar en aan het model. Kinderen kunnen bij de karikatuur een leuk tekstje schrijven en meegeven aan hun leerkracht of monitor, of ze kunnen er hun kamer mee versieren.

Ignacio Alfonso Marín is mijn naam, maar zeg maar Marín. Dat is makkelijker. Ik ben een tekenaar afkomstig uit de Spaanse stad Murcia. Momenteel woon ik in Leuven en werk ik als professioneel karikaturist, portrettekenaar en leraar tekenen in België en Nederland.

Samen kijken we naar je tekenwerk en geef ik je mijn tips en tricks om een professionele karikatuur te maken. Ik teken ook digitale karikaturen met Procreate op iPad. Ook hier kan ik je dus in bijscholen.
De privéworkshop duurt 3 uur en wordt gegeven in Leuven of online.

Private Painting and Drawing lessons, any level! I am a classically trained painter, I have been painting seriously for 20 years and studied intensively in Florence, Italy. I will teach you the basics about light, form, line, colour and space, and how to constantly grow and improve. We start with drawing from observation and continue to other mediums, including oil paint, once the student is ready.

Landscape, still life, portrait, expressive. My goal is to help my students improve every time and reach a new level. I provide many examples from art history as well as my own work, and give lots of demonstrations. I offer a personalized approach fitted to each student.

The classes are in a small group format, no more than 4 at a time and each student works at their own pace, it is private classes with other students present, offering a supportive environment in which to learn and grow. Each student receives personalized instruction at their own level. Each student is guaranteed to improve.

I ask for a commitment of 5 lessons at a time to see some improvement, and I accept students who are looking for longer term learning. Commitment is a must to grow! Try out one lesson to see if the class is a good for for you. My students tend to stay with me for the long term, if it is the right fit.

The classes take place in my studio in the charming location of Grand Hospice, a converted hospice in the city center of Brussels.

I have up to 3 years experience as a graphic designer and illustrator within a Book Publishing House. Nombreux sont ceux qui pensent qu'ils ne savent pas dessiner. Mais dessiner, c'est d'abord observer et oublier ce que l'on pense savoir du sujet pour le (re-)découvrir... La technique dite de "dessiner avec l'hémisphère droit" a été une révélation pour moi dans ma jeunesse car elle m'a permis d'évoluer très rapidement. C'est sur cette base que que je vous aiderai à progresser (ludiquement) dans cet art du croquis.
Avec des exercices concrets pendant une session idéalement de 2 heures, je vous apprendrai à regarder différemment les choses qui nous entourent et des "trucs" pour affronter les difficulté (raccourci, perspective, contre-plongée...) et vous faire évoluer rapidement, sur-mesure en fonction de vos attentes.

Ik ben een beeldend kunstenaar geboren in Barcelona, gevestigd in België sinds 2017. Als kunstenaar heb ik de afgelopen 25 jaar ervaring opgedaan. Ik ben afgestudeerd met een Academische Bachelor in Schone Kunsten aan de Universiteit van Barcelona en ben afgestudeerd als Master in Beeldende Kunsten aan de Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

Ik ben gespecialiseerd in schilderen, tekenen, experimentele films, installaties, taal, geluid en cureren. Met andere woorden, ik ben een multidisciplinaire kunstenaar.

Ik begrijp de artistieke praktijk als een manier om onszelf en de situaties om ons heen te begrijpen. In mijn lessen leer ik niet hoe je kunst moet doen, maar hoe je iets moet zeggen door je artistieke werk. Bij mij kun je zelfstandig werken, met een coach die je uitdaagt met enkele opdrachten en feedback geeft op je persoonlijke zorgen.

Daarnaast leer je werken met verschillende media, het voorbereiden van je eigen materiaal: schilderijen, doeken, enzovoort.

Je krijgt niet alleen individuele coaching, maar moedigt je ook aan om naar andere artiesten te kijken of rekening te houden met andere referenties die verband houden met je zorgen.

Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 12 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the halos. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

Note: ALL SUPPLIES & TOOLS ARE PROVIDED FOR THE STUDENTS FOR THE FIRST TEN (10) LESSONS — All canvas, stretcher-bars, panels, paper, brushes, pens, pencils, ink, charcoal, paints, varnish, etc. The finished artworks are, of course, your to keep.

There are many ways to create a so-called "realistic" oil painting. And there are many visual tools that an artist can use to make a beautiful visual statement. Whether using thick impastos, thin washes of solvent-based color, bodied glazes, or mixed media elements, each technique can yield an engaging visual experience. Painting is, after all, a means of communication.

In this course, we will begin with the basic ideas and techniques for drawing and painting forms as the eye sees them. You will learn every stage for producing aesthetically pleasing and technically strong oil paintings. We will discuss concepts and ideas for painting, developing different studies, stretching the canvas, line drawing, tonal lay-in, dead-coloring (or color block-in), and modeling the forms (1st painting, 2nd painting, and finishing). We will also cover the techniques of alla prima or premier coup (direct painting in one pass). We will also study the formal methods of composition, different kinds of perspectives, paint surface and paint quality (facture), and proportions. And, of course, we will discuss the use of varnishes, including the final picture varnish.

Stay calm and confident if some of these terms are new to you. We will adapt the lessons for each artist. I will help you to learn, understand, and perform each step of the painting process.
