Guitar/Bass/Ukulele Lessons! Over 15 years of teaching experienceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Guitar/Bass/Ukulele Lessons! Over 15 years of teaching experienceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

My main teaching philosophy is to teach students to play the music they enjoy. It sounds like a no-brainer but I have had teachers in the past who only showed me songs that they enjoyed or used method books that teach you "Mary Had A Little Lamb" or "Hot Crossed Buns" (and if you like those songs then we can learn those). All that to say, whatever the student's goal on the instrument, I will take them step by step until they reach it. For a beginning musician, the fundamentals of the instrument are given the highest priority: how to tune your instrument, names of all the notes, essential chords, basic strumming, playing in time, and understanding basic rhythm. For someone who already plays but needs a little help getting out of the rut, we'll spend time fixing bad technical habits, hammering home the fundamentals, expanding their repertoire, and slowly moving outside of the comfort zone to new horizons. With advanced players, listening (ear training), transcribing, song analysis, exploring advanced theory concepts, and focusing on composition and improvisation are most important. With all levels of students, I make playlists that I update after each lesson so they can hear real examples of what we are covering, as well as provide detailed written notes in TAB and standard notation so they can refer to everything we covered and know what to practice. Also, it's fun!

Piano lessons in Berlin for beginners to advanced students with a graduate of the Mozarteum and the UdK.Translate this text using Google Translate.

German below - I started learning piano at the age of five and was lucky enough to work with the same teacher for thirteen years. During my university years at the University Mozarteum Salzburg and the University of the Arts Berlin, I had the chance to experience different teachers and approaches to music. Through this, I came to understand how important it is to find a teacher you connect with, and how our needs can change throughout our musical journey. In my teaching, I prioritize giving my students the tools they need to become independent musicians themselves: knowing how to practice effectively, improving their sight-reading skills (which opens up an entire library of music), understanding their own strengths and areas where they can improve, and building a solid foundation of basic music theory as far as it is relevant for their piano playing. A typical lesson looks like this: we start with a warm-up, review the previous week's practice, work on current repertoire, and set clear goals for the week ahead. I focus on helping students approach new music with more understanding and confidence. At the same time, I feel that individuality can sometimes be overlooked in the process of improving as musicians. For me, it is equally important to leave space for creativity, through improvisation, exploring different interpretation options, listening to different recordings, and discovering different repertoire or musical styles. In my teaching, it is important to me to give my students the tools they need to become independent musicians: to know how to practice effectively, to further develop their sight-reading skills (which opens up a whole library of music), to recognize their own strengths and areas for improvement, and to build a solid foundation in music theory – insofar as it is relevant to their own piano playing. A typical lesson looks like this: We start with a warm-up, review the week's practice, work on the current repertoire, and set clear goals for the coming week. My aim is to help my students learn new music with greater understanding and confidence. At the same time, I feel that one's own individuality sometimes gets neglected in the process of musical development. For me, it's just as important to create space for creativity through improvisation, trying out different interpretations, listening to various recordings, and discovering different repertoires or musical styles.

Violin and Piano lessons in English, Classical/Gypsy Jazz/Klezmer/Celtic StylesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello, my name is Oscar and I am a Violin and Piano teacher from the UK, now living in Bristol, after several years of living abroad. I've been teaching and performing on both instruments for 5 years, during, and after my studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. I have taught children from the age of four, up to adults in their late sixties, and I find all spectrums of age and ability rewarding and engaging to work with. Regarding Violin tuition, I am happy to teach up to any level. On the piano, I, however, currently prefer to teach up to an ABRSM grade 8 level, and not far above it. My musical endeavors, whilst focused predominantly on the Classical style in my early childhood, have become quite varied and I am a great lover of many different styles. I play regularly in Klezmer bands, Celtic Folk groups and I run a Gypsy Jazz Collective, besides performing with Orchestra's, Small string ensembles, and as a Solo Violinist. Whilst I wouldn't consider myself to be an expert, I thoroughly enjoy guiding people through the early stages of learning to improvise, and I am equally comfortable working with students in this way as I am teaching in a more traditional, classically-orientated manner. I look forward to hearing from you! Oscar

Russian. Russian lessons. Russian as a foreign language. Learn Russian Courses Tutoring Russian language courses and tutoring Русский язык курсыTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Lessons are planned taking into account the students' specific interests and language level as decisive factors. It usually takes three lessons to test different methods and find out which one suits you best. Before COVID, bookings were only for face-to-face lessons. Because of the COVID pandemic, I have also organized online courses, which have been well received by several students. Whether online or offline, the lessons are particularly interesting for those who want to learn Russian culture, history and geography in addition to the language. When I notice mistakes, I make sure that they are corrected immediately or as quickly as possible. If you want to master specific areas of the language, such as colloquial language, I can definitely help you. Specific vocabulary I cover: Business, Law, Medicine, Military, Music, Chess, Shipbuilding, Seafaring, Security, Swear Words. If you are interested in studying history, this is a great way to not only improve your language skills but also deepen your historical knowledge. I offer detailed explanations on grammatical topics. Important detail: Please be polite and serious, otherwise it won't work.

Guitar Lessons - all ages and ability levels welcome!Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hi everyone! My name is Curragh and I am a guitar teacher from the UK. Learning an instrument is hugely rewarding and a great investment, one that I believe is accessible to anyone. Perhaps you're intrigued by the guitar and want to give it a go... maybe you are a parent looking to relax for an hour and have fun or enrich your child’s development and give them a skill they can enjoy for the rest of their lives. I am a lifelong lover of music with a bachelor's degree in Jazz Guitar from Leeds Conservatoire and a BTEC diploma with distinction in Music Practice. I have played in many different ensembles and have attended the Bath International Guitar Festival in the UK, on a scholarship. My teaching philosophy is that the ears are just as important to train as the hands and I integrate this into my lessons. It is also important to enjoy playing and feel excited by it, however, as this is the best motivator for students! It's how I learned after all... I am happy to teach absolute beginners through to advanced students, ages 7 and up. If you have a particular style of music you are interested in or some favorite songs you've always wanted to learn, we can cover them! If you are more advanced and want to bring your playing to the next level, I can coach you so you develop your unique 'voice' on the instrument and have a technique to burn.

“ Javier is an incredible teacher! He is not just teaching me piano, but really helping me to understand how music is structured and the reasons behind compositional choices. A very generous and experienced teacher, who is dedicated to broadening my music horizons and improving my playing freedom. I can highly recommend him, especially for intermediate players like myself who feel a bit lost and are looking for structure and direction. ”

“ I had a great first lesson using Ableton! Niki spent time helping me with my equipment set-up and also went through some of the settings with me. He explained things very clearly, answered my questions and showed me some of the basic things necessary to find my way as a beginner using Ableton. I now have a few things to try out and I'm excited to start experimenting and seeing what I can record. Thanks Niki! ”

“ Andrea is a talented musician and music teacher. He tailored my first lesson with him to my skill and experience level and left me with exercises and insights into music theory to build on for our next lesson.I'm greatly looking forward to my next lesson! ”
