I have successfully completed a music degree with a major in electric guitar and have been teaching students of all ages and all over the world for 7 years now. The experiences that I have made through and with my students over the years help me to get fit on the instrument and to give you access to music and the guitar while having fun. With me you learn first and foremost: play! Of course you can also learn to read notes if you want; But experience has shown that very few students want that: Inside and that's OK, because in the end everyone learns to play their favorite songs on the guitar here. If this has piqued your interest and you want to start the lesson, please contact me! I have no contract and you can stop at any time if the guitar lessons collide with your schedule (for whatever reason) or if you should notice "Hm, somehow that's not for me". Except for my cancellation rule (canceling up to 72 hours before the lesson without having to pay the hour), everything here is very flexible and relaxed. Trusted teacher: My main teaching philosophy is to teach students to play the music they enjoy. It sounds like a no-brainer but I have had teachers in the past who only showed me songs that they enjoyed or used method books that teach you "Mary Had A Little Lamb" or "Hot Crossed Buns" (and if you like those songs then we can learn those). All that to say, whatever the student's goal on the instrument, I will take them step by step until they reach it. For a beginning musician, the fundamentals of the instrument are given the highest priority: how to tune your instrument, names of all the notes, essential chords, basic strumming, playing in time, and understanding basic rhythm. For someone who already plays but needs a little help getting out of the rut, we'll spend time fixing bad technical habits, hammering home the fundamentals, expanding their repertoire, and slowly moving outside of the comfort zone to new horizons. With advanced players, listening (ear training), transcribing, song analysis, exploring advanced theory concepts, and focusing on composition and improvisation are most important. With all levels of students, I make playlists that I update after each lesson so they can hear real examples of what we are covering, as well as provide detailed written notes in TAB and standard notation so they can refer to everything we covered and know what to practice. Also, it's fun!

Sam is an amazing teacher, patient and open to the student's goals and suggestions. His approach is more technical than theoretical but will nonetheless get anyone willing to learn up to speed on the basics into more advanced notions. He assessed what I was already able to do on the guitar to fill the gaps and help me progress into further fields. So far he's taught me the electric guitar, a bit of bass and piano and I'm very happy about all of it.

Oscar is an amazing instructor! His ability to teach how to play the guitar is incredible. He is patient and encouraging. He applies philosophy, wisdom and experience into his teaching practices. Before going to Oscar, I was not very confident on playing the guitar. Now, after only two lessons, I am playing better and have more confidence in my playing ability. I definitely would recommend him to anyone hands down!!

I've just had my first session with George, and I can only recommend him. From the limited information he had, he came well prepared with suitable things to work on. Good paced lesson, and my mistakes were quickly identified and good tips for improvement given. Techniques that I was struggling with were really well demonstrated and explained. Looking forward to my next session.
