Trusted teacher: Looking to improve your singing, gain confidence, and express yourself better? I am a voice teacher with over 3 years of experience teaching students from ages 5 to adults. I have taught over 40 students in all genres, classical, musical theatre, and pop, and have successfully prepared them for ABRSM and Trinity exams. I believe that singing is innate to all of us, and if you can speak, you can sing! My class structure depends on your goals and starting point. During your lesson, we will explore your vocal profile and your goals, and I will show some of the vocal exercises that may help you. You can also bring a song you like, and we can work on the vocal technique, text, and facial or body expression. You can then decide if we are a good fit for one another. A singing class for children is very different from a class for adults. For example, with younger children, we do more vocal exploration and movement, to ensure that they build a love for music and to protect their voice. With adults looking to audition for semi-professional to professional jobs, we work on building a practical practice plan for your own vocal gym. For vocational adult amateurs, we may work on more songs than vocal exercises. I have a Master of Music in Singing (Classical) at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, and previously graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. I've received training in contemporary pop singing style with Meredith Colby's Neuro-Vocal Method, and also believe in the body-based Alexander Technique method of posture alignment. I regularly go for voice teacher training to make sure I stay updated with factual, anatomy-based methods. Students say that I bring a high energy, productive structure, and a personable atmosphere to every class!

Trusted teacher: I am a 32-year old composer, electric guitarist and songwriter based in Den Haag, teaching composition, music theory, and score writing. I teach in English or in Greek. I am half Greek and half Scottish and I have been living in the Netherlands for the last 6 years. I offer lessons in all styles, to all age groups, and for any experience level (ranging from students who want to learn how to read and write music to create their first score, up to more experienced composers who are looking for fresh ideas and improving their skills to really make their music shine, or who are looking for help polishing their composition portfolio for entrance exams). Face to face lessons are preferable, but I also teach online. I am a patient and open minded teacher, and my desire is to help you learn what you want to learn, and make sure you enjoy and take pride in your music, explore a breadth of musical ideas that can inform your work, learn to express your musical ideas as best as possible and nurture your curiosity and excitement about the world of music creation ! Hi! I'm Demetrio, a musician and composer from Italy. From when I was 8 years old, I've been fully immersed in music, starting out with flute, to then switch to drums and to my first conservatory course in classical percussion. Already in the final periods of this study, I began to fall in love with jazz music and with the instrument of the vibraphone, and in September 2022 I moved to the Netherlands to follow my second bachelor course in the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, this time in jazz vibraphone. At the moment I'm in my second Master's year of The Hague's conservatory, on my way to graduation at the end of this academic year. In this class, you'll be able to learn and face many aspects of music, from very practical lessons on the vibraphone, crossing technique, sound producing and reading music, to the idea of playing in a band, the concept of interplay and comping. All of the topics that I present are offered to give students of any level either a solid base for music production and playing, or to consolidate even more and strenghten your skills on more advanced aspects of music. I'm very passionate about listening, sharing, directing and finding solutions to problems that anyone in a music learning journey can face, starting from myself. I'm also very patient and I provide clear and practical explanations, which I believe is very needed in such a confusing and aerial topic as music can be. See you in class! :)

I like Yulia, my 8 yrs old daughter likes Yulia and here is why: she's the best violin tutor my daughter has had! My daughter is very active and we have had two tutors before and she got on well with the previous tutors on a "fun" level, yet she hardly made time to play violin and each tutoring session became a play date and practicing on violin was a struggle. With Yulia, my daughter actually plays violin now and she's starting to enjoy classical music as well. I find Yulia naturally engaging and for my daughter learning music with Yulia becomes an automatic flow, so she hardly notices that she's had a "long" violin lesson. Now we look forward to seeing Yulia every week!

Hello, Jakob has really been such a great teacher, I have never seen someone so enthusiatic about music...He is the type of person who can motivate you to learn and have fun with the instrument. I am total beginner in terms of music and violin, but yet the progress im making is amazing. The lessons are so much fun and i really enjoy learning from him. He is never afraid to go extra mile for his students, which is very rare these days. I look foreward to my classes every week. Overall, i have an amazing time learning violin, all thanks to him.

My son just had his first piano lesson with Joel and he loved it. When the hour was finished my son felt a bit disappointed as he wanted to continue and said the class had gone by super fast. After Joel left our house my son told me he would really like to continue taking lessons with him as he felt he learned a lot and had a lot of fun. I personally liked Joel’s communication and professionalism when scheduling the class, and the planning of the curriculum going forward. I think my son will learn a lot from his classes with him.
