Tutoring for International Baccalaureate (IB) Maths AA HL/SL, Chemistry HL/SL, Physics HL/SL and for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) International Mathematics (0607), Additional Mathematics (0606), Physics (0625) Chemistry (0620). I aim to make sure students understand material intuitively first before delving into complicated questions and foster a friendly and patient learning environment. Instead of relying on memorising formulas, I teach students how to derive the formulas themselves, build upon their previous knowledge and use them to solve complex questions in a simple way, building their confidence in the process. To facilitate this, I use metaphors and every-day things to construct stories that help students remember concepts and relationships between them. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, preferences and learning style so I am able to accommodate specific requests. I can help students work on improving both overall understanding of the subject as well as detailed and thorough understanding of specific topics/sub-topics. As someone who sat these exams myself, I know what the most common mistakes in each topic are, the best exam techniques and have lots of tips, tricks and resources I can share! I offer flexible scheduling, with availability during the day, early mornings, and late evenings for lessons online or in-person lessons near South Kensington.
