Christina - Kowloon40€
Trusted teacher: About the teacher: First, Professional. Holding a Master in Music post-graduate degree, the teacher has been teaching piano lessons professionally for 17 years. She has a solid theoretical foundation in music teaching, composition, and piano performance. Second, a kind attitude with patience, as well as a proper method for different levels of students. She has taught students who easily pass ABRSM grade 8. She also possesses excellent patience with young kids under the age of six. During the last ten years, her goal has been to solve an important issue: how to make students interested in piano playing. Most kids who learn the piano would give up before or during their teenage time. However, 99% of them regret it when they grow up. In Christina's lesson, she will acknowledge to the students and parents clearly what difficulties they will face during the process of music learning. It's more important that students learn to develop a good habit, a worthwhile hobby, and the perseverance that will benefit their whole life. About the class: Different students may require different class lengths. For a child under the age of six, the teacher recommends less time for each class but a higher frequency. Kids who took the piano class twice a week and half an hour each class usually progress faster than those who took it once a week. For kids who practice longer time, it is also advised to take the course longer time. A child who practices two hours a day could play Beethoven's Fur Elise within one year, but for a child who practices less than half an hour per day, this goal may take more than four years to reach. For adults who have greater self-control, it is advised to take the class for a longer time per class but with less frequency.

Trusted teacher: Graduated from the École Normale de Musique de Paris with a Master’s Degree, I am a Taiwanese flutist and pianist currently based in Singapore. I offer individual piano and flute lessons in English and Mandarin for students of all ages and levels. During my studies and career, I’ve gained extensive teaching and performing experience across France, Taiwan, and Singapore. I’ve collaborated with a wide range of musicians — from orchestral soloists to chamber ensembles — experiences that shaped my flexible, student-centred teaching approach. My goal is to help every student learn efficiently, express freely, and enjoy steady, visible progress. Many students tell me their practice time doesn’t feel productive — they want to improve, but aren’t sure if they’re practicing correctly. That’s where I can help. I also offer one-on-one online practice supervision and accompaniment coaching, designed for students who need expert guidance between lessons or before important performances. These sessions focus on: - Improving technique, rhythm, and musical phrasing - Developing awareness of tone and balance - Strengthening confidence before exams or recitals - Creating effective practice habits that bring real results Whether you’re preparing for an ABRSM exam, polishing a performance, or simply wanting to play better and enjoy music more, I’ll guide you step-by-step with patience, structure, and motivation. Lessons are available online or in person, with flexible scheduling and personalized feedback after every class. Learn with clarity. Practice with purpose. Grow in confidence and joy through every note.

I cannot find a word that can explain my appreciation for Christian. She is a patient , responsible, and good teacher. She really try very hard to help my son William to understand theory . William hate theory to now he understands very well. Christian knows that he got limited time to do his grade 5 exam which required by school . She only use 2 moths to help him to got distinction. ( which I only think he could just pass) I was so lucky to find her in this website which we had changed 2 teachers before in UK and HK who fail to make theory interesting for William. . I ll recommend Christian to anyone who I know and want to improve their music now she is teaching my daughter piano I am so looking forward to see her improvement and enjoyment for music.

Mary has been great in our interactions. At the moment, we are meeting twice a week for an hour each session. She started with a class in which we got to know each other and she listen to my goals. Then, she prepared exercises and lessons specially designed to help me reach those goals with practice and also prepared lessons to help me continue growing as a guitar player. Moreover, she goes often out of her way to get songs challenging to my level, but that are doable with enough practice. In all, I am enjoying quite a lot of our classes and I am always looking forward to them.

Korean Language Lessons for Beginners (alphabet/vocabulary/grammar/...) (Genk)
Severine

In my head (only there just there) I already know a lot of Korean words. But when I try to talk I can't make 1 sentence out of it. That's why I wanted private lesson. What I really like about Severine is that she is very patient, she keeps up with my pace. Once I understand the material I'd like to move on, Palli Palli! She is a good explainer and because of that I'm feeling more and more confidence to talk (and write) in Korean. I already can Write my name in the sand, but soon I will be able to... Talk to myself for hours.. ..Say things that You WILL understand ;)
