Or perhaps you have entrance exams coming up for art school or architecture studies and you want to ensure you will pass? This is an individual course design depending on your request and your starting level. Each course includes lessons filled with instruction information, practice time and homework assignment. You can begin with Level 1 and continue further or choose to start on a specific level. Level 1 - This course is an absolute beginner level. You can hold a pencil and a brush but the starting is so stressful and confusing. You're scared of making a mistake, you don't know where to begin, you're getting lost when it comes to composition or shading whenever you start to draw. I GOT YOU! Those are very common feelings when you start to draw and it can be discouraging, give you a feeling of being stuck or just very dissatisfied with your art. In this course I will guide you through basic traditional art techniques such as pencil sketching, pen and ink drawing, watercolor, and acrylic painting. We will be studying composition, forms, shapes, structure and texture of different objects such as fabric, furniture, animal fur, plants etc. I’ll show you how to achieve depth in your shading, how to understand light, and the effect of fragility of plants or hardship and reflection of metal. I’ll teach you observation, things to look for in the drawing, but most of all I'll give you tools for future independent learning that will save you tons of time while figuring on your own! The key to success is your motivation and time you will dedicate to your homework practice. Level 2 - This course is directed towards people who have some basic understanding of traditional art media techniques such as pencil sketching, pen and ink drawing, watercolor, and acrylic painting. Your art is currently your hobby, but you would like to change it into a career? Know more about art as a business model, get insights into career tips and opportunities. Or do you want to improve your sketching skills, learn to digitise your work, create digital illustrations in Procreate, or combine it all in your own unique way? Level 3 - Advanced. It will focus on your specific desire as an artist and adjust to your skills and technique preferences. During the first introduction skills, I’ll provide some exercises to see how you work and together we will find the way we can work and improve.

In terms of education, I have the Degree in Classical Violin and three masters in violin playing, from Katarina Gurska (Madrid, Spain), Prince Claus Conservatory (Groningen, Netherlands) and The Hague Royal Conservatory (The Hague, Netherlands), Throughout my whole education I have always chosen teaching electives and internships. Have you always wanted to play the violin? Or maybe your child is into music and would love to learn to play an instrument? Then, this might be a great opportunity for you to fulfill that desire. If on the contrary you are an advanced student, I would love to help you build solid technique and support your own musicality. On the other hand, I do love all kinds of music. I am happy to work with you in Pop or Folk songs for example. I did play many years in Pop and Folk bands and groups when I was living in Spain and have quite some experience in teaching this music as well. If you would like to, any song can be arranged and played on the violin. I love meeting new students and helping them through their journey with the instrument. Every individual has different needs and goals and as a teacher I work together with every student, giving them the tools, knowledge and support they need to reach those goals. We feel so lucky to have found Laura as my daughter’s violin teacher. Not only is she a skilled musician, she’s a wonderful instructor who is able to effectively engage with young kids (my daughter was four when she started lessons). I’ve observed Laura as both structured and flexible — her lessons are planned with purpose, but she also has back-up ideas if a kid’s energy isn’t a good match for the day’s agenda. I love seeing my daughter’s skill and confidence grow in such a warm, supportive learning environment. I wholeheartedly recommend lessons with Laura for any child interested in exploring the violin!
