After developing Muscular Tension Dysphonia in 2010 and not singing for almost two years, she overcame this vocal disorder after working with some of the best voice and voice rehabilitation specialists in the UK. This experience further motivated her interest in teaching the following to her students in contemporary voice* using knowledge and training gained by renowned vocal coaches, ENTs and voice rehabilitation specialists: - Vocal technique, health and hygiene - Guidance in voice rehabilitation with students experiencing or recovering from vocal issues - Managing Performance Anxiety - Breath control - Microphone technique and stage performance - Basic music theory - Artist development and mentoring Katherine has over 15 years experience in one-to-one lessons, teaching students aged 4 years old to 50 years old of all levels and has developed programs for small choirs. Please be advised students under the age of 9 years old will be offered 30 min lessons only and will comprise of a combination of music and singing-related games and exercises. Also offering: - Live performance workshops *Contemporary music styles like R&B, soul, neosoul, pop, country. She does not teach classical or jazz. **Please note, 30 min lessons are only for students aged 10 and under. Adult students will be required to book one-hour lesson times to ensure they get the most out of their lessons and therefore their money's worth. These courses are aimed at all levels (From beginners to confirmed) and from 10 years old. The session is divided into 3 parts: -Warming up and work of the breath: We will work starting from exercises of bodily technique to reach a physical availability and a concentration centered on oneself and the present moment. I highly recommend Sarah-Anne as a piano instructor. She is incredibly warm and friendly, creating a comfortable and encouraging learning environment. Cristina is an outstanding teacher! she gave a cooking class to my 11 year old daughter (via webcam) and it worked very well: my daughter was delighted (and kept her smile for the rest of the day!), and the rest of the family enjoyed the result which was really delicious :-). Cristina is very enthousiast, organised and dynamic and she kept my daughter totally concentrated on her task during the entire lesson; A big thank you!
