Do not be fooled - it's a tough instrument to play well! With my guidance and a special interest in postural health, you will quickly learn the basics with some regular effort. I especially encourage students to meet with other students in order to get to know each other on a human level. An alum of the ABRSM, Suzuki, American and European conservatory systems (Masters with Magna cum Laude), and relentlessly studying to become better and better every week, I filter through 'The Book' to find the most effective and efficient way for the individual learner. We will find out what sounds appeal to you, and teach your unique 'voice' to come out. With a little technique and a LOT of good taste, there's no knowing where your violin can take you! Come yourself, or with a friend or even with your child, and explore the infinite depths of real music-making! (Pssst: It's never really what we expect in the beginning!) Because of my studies and having traveled a lot, I know how difficult it can be to learn a foreign language and how difficult it can be to overcome certain levels and to be confident in a language that is not our mother tongue. That's why I offer you my help! I am a French native from Poitou Charente. I traveled all around the world when i was a teenager and a young adult especially in Asia. Now i'm finishing my studies in Paris. For several years, I have been teaching English to children and adults of all levels. I have accompanied Koreans, Iranians, French etc. My goal is that you enjoy learning English and reach your goals. The course will be totally personalized and adapted to your needs and interests. I will also introduce you to the culture during our lessons (current events, highlights of the year, etc.) because in order to learn a language you need to understand the culture of the country. My classes will focus on the five skills: speaking, writing, listening, reading and grammar. Of course, if you wish to work on only one aspect in particular, this will be possible. Private lessons to learn French language and culture (Nice)

Lorette was great! In Nice with my daughter who is taking AP French in Seattle. Lorette met us at a local cafe and quickly narrowed in on my daughter (and my) level of French competency. She struck a nice balance of correcting mistakes and allowing the conversation to flow naturally. By the end of the day she had followed up via email with some exercises and grammar resources that were relevant to our lesson. Highly recommend Lorette if you're in Nice (or looking for a great French tutor online). We would likely continue with her online were it not for the 9 hour timezone difference. Merci beaucoup Lorette!

With a Masters Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language, Yimer is obviously very qualified but he also has a gift of teaching that is very effective in making progress on the learning journey. Part of this has to be in his patience and being a teacher that has a way of explaining things, both in English and Spanish, that make learning easier. I have had quite a few Spanish tutors over the years but Yimer, is clearly the best.

Oscar is an amazing instructor! His ability to teach how to play the guitar is incredible. He is patient and encouraging. He applies philosophy, wisdom and experience into his teaching practices. Before going to Oscar, I was not very confident on playing the guitar. Now, after only two lessons, I am playing better and have more confidence in my playing ability. I definitely would recommend him to anyone hands down!!
