I am a board certified teacher (Ontario College of Teachers) who is in good standing. My formal teaching experience includes over ten years in an elementary public school setting (Canada, Ontario) and USA, Hawaii). Additionally, I have worked in Tokyo, Japan as an English teacher working with students aged 5 to 50+, including conversational, business, and formal English. Prior to working as a teacher I worked in Higher Education Administration for several years at some of the most competitive universities in Canada and the United States where I supported and managed on-campus student leaders. Overwhelmingly my students and colleagues consistently tell me that I am very kind and patient. Others know me for my high standards, desire to achieve perfection, and great attention to detail. My first lesson with Anaïs went very well. She tried to adjust the speed and articulation of her speech for the level of my understanding, so we could hold the conversation, although at times bilingual, as I still require a lot of help with words and sentence construction.
