About Me
Bonjour! My name is Claude, and I am a passionate French teacher with many years of experience helping students develop confidence in speaking, reading, and understanding French.

I am currently a French teacher in Florida, where I teach French Level 1 and Pre-AICE French Level 2 at the high school level. I also previously taught university-level French courses, including language and translation classes. My background includes many years of experience in language instruction, cultural training, and translation through my own language institute.

My teaching approach is interactive, encouraging, and practical. I focus on helping students feel comfortable using French in real-life situations while also building strong grammar and vocabulary foundations. Whether students are beginners or more advanced learners, I tailor lessons to meet their goals and learning style.

I enjoy working with learners of all ages — from middle school and high school students to adults who want to travel, improve their language skills, or reconnect with French.

Experience / Qualifications
I have an extensive background in French language instruction, translation, and cross-cultural communication.

I taught French at Oregon State University, where I instructed multiple university-level French courses, including language and translation classes. This experience allowed me to work with students from diverse academic backgrounds and help them develop strong language proficiency.

I currently teach French at North Port High School in Florida, where I teach French Level 1 and Pre-AICE French Level 2. In this role, I help students build a strong foundation in French grammar, communication, and cultural understanding while preparing them for advanced language study.

In addition to my school teaching experience, I founded and operated the Cross Cultural Institute LLC, where I provided language training, translation services, and cross-cultural communication coaching for individuals and professionals.

Through these experiences, I have worked with:

Middle school students

High school students

University learners

Adult professionals

My background allows me to adapt lessons to different learning styles and goals, whether students want to succeed in school, travel, or become fluent in French.
