I offer personalised one-to-one maths lessons designed to build strong understanding, confidence and independent problem-solving skills. My goal is not only to help students get the right answers, but to truly understand the concepts so they can apply them in new situations. In each lesson, I first explain the theory in a clear and structured way, making sure the student fully understands the topic before moving on. I check understanding by asking questions and encouraging the student to explain the ideas in their own words. Once the foundation is clear, we work through exercises together. I always let the student try first, guiding them step by step with hints and support rather than giving the answer immediately. This helps develop critical thinking, confidence and long-term learning. I adapt every lesson to the individual student’s level, pace and goals. I focus on building strong fundamentals, improving exam technique and creating a positive mindset towards maths. I also use real-life examples and visual explanations to make the subject more engaging and easier to understand. I have an international background and studied in the Cambridge system, and I am currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science at the IT University of Copenhagen. I work daily with mathematics, statistics and logical reasoning, which allows me to explain complex topics in a simple and structured way. I can teach in English, Danish or Spanish and support students from both international and local programmes.

I teach music through a practical, student-led approach focused on real-world skills, confidence, and creative independence. My goal is not just to show what to do, but to explain why it works, so students can apply the knowledge across styles, tools, and situations. Teaching techniques and methods: I tailor lessons to each student rather than following a rigid syllabus. Teaching is hands on and example driven, using demonstrations, guided exercises, and problem solving. I focus on breaking complex ideas into simple, usable steps, and I prioritise understanding over memorisation. For production and DJ students, this means working directly in their software or setup; for instrumentalists, it means technique applied immediately to music they care about. A typical lesson plan: Each lesson usually begins with a short check-in: what have you been working on? What’s got you stuck? And what do you want to do next? We then focus on one or two clear objectives—such as improving a technique, understanding a concept, or developing a track or performance idea. Lessons end with a practical takeaway: a focused exercise, creative task, or workflow to work on between sessions. Including your own SAMPLY portal to share home work and ideas and track messages. Special characteristics as a teacher I bring professional, real-world experience into every lesson. I’m direct, patient, and honest about what works and what doesn’t. I’m especially good at helping students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or self-critical regain clarity and momentum. I adapt quickly to different learning styles and keep lessons grounded and encouraging. Who I teach I teach teenagers and adults at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. This includes hobbyists, aspiring professionals, and working musicians who want to level up specific skills. I regularly work with students who are self-taught, returning to music after a break, neurodivergent, or lacking confidence. Lessons are adapted to individual goals, pace, and circumstances.

My name is Lil, I'm an engineering student at EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), currently on an academic exchange at KTH in Stockholm. I have a 5/6 average at EPFL (top 10% of my class) and obtained a baccalaureate with 17/20. I have significant teaching experience: I worked as a teaching assistant and tutor at EPFL in three different subjects (structural mechanics, computer science, and algorithms), where I regularly supported first-year students with their exercises and their overall understanding of the course concepts. This experience taught me to adapt my explanations to each student, to communicate very clearly, to be organized and reliable, and to create a reassuring and effective learning environment. Before that, I had already tutored middle school students in physics when I was in high school, which instilled in me a love of teaching from a very young age. My teaching method My priority isn't to have students memorize formulas, but to make concepts logical and intuitive. I always adapt to the student's level to pinpoint exactly where they're struggling, then work with them to rebuild a clear line of reasoning. The goal is for the student to become independent and gain confidence. I use simple explanations with concrete examples, diagrams, and visualizations, as well as progressive exercises to solidify understanding, and a genuine method for working and organizing. I also offer additional exercises and methodological advice so that the student can then work independently. My specific characteristics My experience as a teaching assistant at EPFL taught me to explain complex concepts in a very accessible way. I can quickly identify misunderstandings and suggest an alternative approach to the problem. I also emphasize methodology and intuition, which are often key to success in math and science. I offer support in: mathematics, physics, life and earth sciences (1st year), advanced mathematics. For primary, middle and high school levels. Courses can be held in person in Stockholm or via video conference.
