I do this through a variety of activities to help you build your skills step by step; including role-playing games (based on real-life situations), Q&A's and games. ¡The goal is to keep you talking! The lessons are mainly given in Spanish, so you can learn and practice as much Spanish as possible during the lesson. Don't worry about making mistakes; By making mistakes and learning from them, you even become better. Repetition is an important part of my lessons. I often go back to check if you remember what was introduced in previous lessons. Before we start our lessons, I want to know your reasons for learning Spanish. If you already have some knowledge of Spanish, I will determine your exact level. Once I know your needs, interests, and level, I can select the right materials and design the right course for you. I find it better to work with a textbook to give structure to the lessons. I also use videos, slides, worksheets, and other teaching materials. If you like, I can also email you exercises and resources so you can continue learning independently. Our lessons can be online (as per Zoom), I can come to your home (and Haarlem, Velserbroek, Santport-Noord, Driehuis or Heemstede). During my classes I want to help you learn my native language, which is Latin American Spanish, in a personalized and dynamic way. The classes are separated by levels (A0-B2), where you will learn the grammar of the language but also vocabulary and expressions to use on a daily basis with other speakers of the language. My idea is that each student learns the language at their own pace but understanding and daring to speak it from the first day. Support material (book, exercises, audios, etc) is always included. Our 7 year old son started much better with Verónica than with previous swimming instructors. Verónica made him highly focused for one hour but also served a good dose of amusement! She patiently corrected his technique, and well balanced the long 60 minutes pushing to his limits but without over-stressing. Full hope that our son catches up soon on the progress lost during last two years. He is highly motivated and looking forward to the next session. Adding to that, Verónica seems to be a pleasant, interesting, flexible and reliable person. I would recommend everybody to book an hour with her!

Germán is a great teacher and also fun to work with. He first carefully diagnoses strengths and weaknesses and then designs tailored exercises around the learning needs and gives concrete feedback and shares vocabulary tips. If you search someone to better understand homework/grammar exercises or someone for stand-alone private classes, German is your guy for both. He can explain grammar or improve conversational skills. Before our private lessons, I took courses at the Cervantes institute and my professor there also respected him a lot for his teaching methods and knowledge.
