Hi all!

I am Helena, a classical guitarist from Antwerp. I graduated with a Master's degree in classical guitar (performance) in 2020 and a Master's degree in music education in 2021.
Currently, I am teaching classical guitar at the music school in Antwerpen.

I come from a classical background with a focus on the Spanish and French repertoire of the early 20th century. Besides that, I am interested in singer-songwriter, indie, country, urban, R&B, alternative and lo-fi music.

I usually work on the pupil's sound, interpretation, reading skills, and technique with the classical repertoire. Nevertheless, I prefer to let the pupil decide along with the content of the lessons. I am happy to look into different genres and songs that you want to learn and bring to class. We can furthermore work on hearing, theory, and analysis; practicing scales, improvisation, and chord schemes.

There is also room for your own creativity if you need help with your own creations and compositions, I am happy to look into them.

In the first lesson, we talk about what the content will be and what you would like to learn in the course. Your level and experience with the guitar are not important.

I'm Warre and I've been playing classical guitar for over 16 years. A few years ago I decided to go for a life as a professional musician and enrolled at a conservatory. This year I completed my Master of Music at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven. I have been teaching guitar for several years now. I look forward to meeting my students every week. Few things are more fun than watching someone discover music and get so much fun out of it!

No prior musical knowledge is required. If you are a total beginner, we will start from scratch. And it's never too late to get started! Of course, more experienced players are also welcome for lessons that are completely tailored to your needs.

My name is Ibán and I have a higher musical studies diploma in classical guitar, specialized training in electric guitar and a master's degree in secondary education. Posture and comfort with the instrument are the foundation for playing the guitar. I often make the connection with other musical instruments such as percussion, wind instruments and singing.

Separating and understanding the roles of the two hands is another important step in the course. One hand plays the rhythm and the other plays the notes on the fretboard. There are many exercises to develop the knowledge and skills of both hands.

Giovanna raised and formed in Florence, where she began her guitar studies at the age of five at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. In September, she graduated cum laude and she's currently enrolled in the Master’s program at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, studying with Antigoni Goni.

Winner of many international competitions, she performed plenty of times in Italy and in 2023 she has held a solo concert in Milan for the XXXVIII Società Umanitaria's concerts season. Next to renowned guitarists, such as Luigi Attademo and Giorgio Albiani, she performed the world premiere of Álvaro Company’s Concert Català for ten guitars, in the revision by Vincenzo Saldarelli.

Alongside her performing activity, Giovanna has developed a strong dedication to teaching adults, children, and teenagers. She tailors each learning path to the individual student, carefully balancing personal interests with technical and artistic development, whether for amateur musicians or students preparing for conservatory admission. Her teaching approach places particular emphasis on physical awareness and well-being, guiding students toward healthy and efficient use of the body while playing. Guitar course open to all levels, from beginners to advanced students.

The course covers classical and electric guitar, as well as pop guitar and composition, offering comprehensive training tailored to the student's interests.
