I am Keith, a Hong Kong percussionist based in Amsterdam and currently finishing my master degree in the Conservatory van Amsterdam. I have won several major international competitions and have great experience in performing. I have also taught privately and conducted masterclasses to inspire the next generation of percussionists. The best thing of being a percussionist is that you can play and find music anytime anywhere! Whether if it's a timpani or your comb, you can produce so many different sounds and exciting rhythm. With one technique, you can almost play anything! If you are a total beginner with music, percussion is one of the easiest way into it. Instruments sound nice already when you play them. Lessons start from knowing the pulse and developing your groove, to knowing the notes and establishing basic musicality. Then slowly you will explore the vast sound world of percussion, starting with drums, mallets instrument or any objects that you can think of! I started piano at the age of 5, and music has been an important part of my life ever since. Classically trained as a violinist, I picked up another instrument named Erhu (Chinese violin) and became a professional performer. I am experienced in teaching both children and adults, from different cultural backgrounds. Also, I have been actively involved in both Western and Chinese orchestra since high school. Thanks to my years of experience in being an orchestra member and soloist, I am also familiar with orchestral music. As a humble music therapist, I am passionate about music and believe in the power of music. Trusted teacher: My teaching method developed during 20 years of experience and thanks to my studies of Music Pedagogy and Piano Teaching during my Master's in Piano at Livorno's Conservatory. I am currently a piano teacher in a British School and I prepared several students for ABRSM and Trinity College exams. As a private piano teacher, I work preferably in my studio, on a beautiful grand piano Yamaha, but, if not too far, I am also available for lessons at the student's house. My teaching is adapted to the skills and goals of each student. With beginning children, I aim at full musical development of the student (not just playing notes, but feeling the rhythm, singing, and expressing emotions through free improvisation); technically I don't work only at the finger position, but at the organic interaction arm-wrist-fingers, through simple exercises. With adult or advanced students, I observe them, to suggest which type of repertory to work together, and which aspects of the technique might still need improvement. I teach classically, through the learning of notes, harmony, and written music, but I teach also how to play songs with only chord symbols, and blues improvisation at a basic level. Both with children and adults I aim at creating a joyful experience during the lesson, in which focus is gained in a playful way, finding each time the best practicing solutions to technical and musical difficulties. In this way, practicing at home becomes not another heavy duty to add to an already busy schedule, but repeating a creative, searching experience, that is never the same. Books: the use of a method is often suggested in the first years. Later I advice classical pieces to be studied. Also, Pop or Rock songs that the student would like to perform are well accepted, if I think the student can play them.

Pablo is a great teacher! I began taking drum lessons again after a 8 year break from playing and Pablo has really helped me to get back my passion for drums while cleaning out some old bad habits. He has structured lessons which he tailors to my individual flaws and desires which is really appreciated. He's a down to earth guy, really easy to communicate (Fantastic English) with and organise lessons, even with last minute changes driven by my calendar. I really like his overall approach to drums, the tips and tricks I'm picking up from him are things you won't necessarily pick up by practising alone or reading a book/youtube etc. He focuses on reading music, different playing techniques and playing things which give you enjoyment. For someone who already plays drums and is looking to improve and have fun a long the way, I really couldn't recommend Pablo more!

I feel fortunate to have Baiba as my singing teacher. Her classes aren't just dynamic and light-hearted; they're also incredibly informative and detailed. I recently enrolled my daughter (Dutch native) in English lessons with this teacher and I must say, the experience has been fantastic. My daughter has learned so much in the past few weeks and it's all thanks to the teacher's fun and engaging approach to teaching. The lessons are always interactive and my daughter loves them.
