I would emphasize listening, rhythm and playing in pairs. There will be part of the work devoted to instrumental technique (how to get a beautiful sound out of the instrument, how to play without getting tired or injured, what are the different ways of making a guitar/bass guitar sound depending on the style) , and the rest of the time we can work on pieces, tackle improvisation, group playing, composition, or other subjects depending on your requests. My musical journey: I am currently a student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in jazz and before that I spent 2 years at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lille in jazz bass/double bass and classical double bass. I also graduated from EF2M in Tourcoing. I started music at the age of 8 with the piano, then I turned to the guitar at 12 and then to the electric bass at 16. When I entered the Lille Conservatory, I also took up the double bass. I practiced several styles: jazz, rock, blues, metal, classical, soul, funk, etc... and the fact of having played several instruments helps me to have a more global vision of music, and to find what is interesting in each of the styles. I started my yoga journey with Bahar 2-3 months ago with private lessons, and she has been a wonderful teacher so far. She is very attentive, and centers the experience and expectations of the student. Every week or two, we assess how my personal practice is going, and adjust the flow of the classes accordingly. Instead of just telling or demonstrating what to do, she remains in constant dialogue with me in order that I find what resonates with me in terms of movement, pace, and balance. I am very happy with our classes, and would continue for longer!

Maram is one of the best Arabic teachers I've ever had the pleasure of studying with. Very intelligent, and is particularly good at anticipating the student's questions and interests. Strong knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic, as well as Syrian and other dialects. Great personality that makes learning fun. Very flexible in accommodating student's interests; I can personally testify to her aptitude in discussing political materials at the advanced level. Lea is an excellent, professional and diligent teacher. She's very focused during the lessons, can create a nice learning atmosphere and explains the material clearly and with a good pace.
