In 2005 ben ik met mijn gezin naar Frankrijk vertrokken. In het departement Lot in Zuidwest-Frankrijk zijn we een klein toeristisch bedrijfje begonnen. Ik heb me er altijd voor ingezet om de Franse taal goed te leren en de Franse cultuur te leren begrijpen. En door de jaren heen heb ik mijn niveau steeds verder kunnen verhogen, door zelf lessen te volgen en (zeker zo belangrijk!) gewoon Frans te durven spreken. Als Nederlander in Frankrijk begrijp ik maar al te goed tegen welke moeilijkheden je aanloopt bij het leren van de Franse taal.
