Teacher at Strijkdomain (The Hague), Conservatory in The Hague, Vuurvlinderschool, Geldelandschool en a Het Klooster (Woerden).

I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 3 years (2018-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making.

I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces.

Musik war schon immer meine größte Leidenschaft und es macht mir wirklich Spaß, sie mit anderen Menschen zu teilen. Meine Hauptmusikgenres sind Pop, RNB, Balladen, ein bisschen Jazz und Soul.
Ich kann Noten lesen, aber ich spiele hauptsächlich nach Gehör (das kann man auch lernen!). Ich interessiere mich für Musiktheorie und wie sie dabei hilft, zu verstehen, was man hört und spielt.
Wenn es ums Singen geht, kenne ich einige Grundtechniken und kann bei der Tonhöhe, Harmonisierung, Kontrolle und dem Gefühl, sich beim Singen wohl/sicher zu fühlen, helfen.

My violin classes are open to people of all ages and levels. You may have used to play the violin many years ago and are trying to get back at it but don't know how, you may have just started and you're looking for a teacher that can guide your first steps, you may be looking for regular coaching for an already developed sense of musicality — my classes accommodate all of the above and more.
Most of my pupils are already intermediate students who are dedicated to becoming the young violinists of the future, but that doesn't mean my class isn't for you if you are simply looking for a hobby! Music is about having fun together!

Highly dedicated and passionate teacher.

Age does not matter when it comes to learning, just enjoying it. Lessons for beginners to more advanced students.
Always trying to keep a creative environment where the students can express themselves in all aspects.
I believe that it is necessary to be constant. The ideal would be one hour or hour and a half a week, but that depends on the student availability. I would provide a personal adaptation.

I like playing games, singing and coming up to most creative solutions for learning fast inside of a save space for questions and imagination of the student. It is very important to motivate the students regarding to their music tastes.

I consider myself an involved and motivated musician. I am constantly trying to learn new styles and enjoy so much doing it. At the moment I am studying my second bachelor degree in music, specifically in Early Music.

I am very flexible with schedules for lessons so coming to a common point should not be very difficult.

One of the best ways of learning is transcribing from great jazz musicians. In this vein, you can understand their playing and improve yours from the knowledge learned. Besides you also improve your ear. The students learn using the ear as a main tool in my lessons.

Ich unterrichte alle Niveaus, alle Altersstufen und alle Stilrichtungen auf der Geige oder Bratsche. Natürlich hauptsächlich Klassik, aber auf Wunsch können wir auch Folk, Pop oder andere Arten von Liedern spielen.

Dabei können wir den Schwerpunkt auf das Spiel, auf die Musikalität, die Technik, die Kammermusik legen, ganz wie Sie es wünschen.

Auch eine allgemeine Musikerziehung oder eine musikalische Grundausbildung und Gehörbildung sind möglich.

Ich verwende keine spezielle Methode, da ich das Gefühl habe, dass jeder Mensch anders funktioniert. Ich entwerfe gerne etwas Persönliches, das am besten funktioniert.

My name is Wimian Hernandez. I am from Cuba and I am graduated from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague with a Master degree in Classical Double bass.I am currently doing the Academy of NederlandPhilharmonic and Kamerorkest I have been in the world of Classical music since 15 years ago having a complete education in Piano, Theory music double bass and Music History. Since I arrived in the Hague (almost 4 years ago) I started to teach the piano to kids and It has been wonderful to see how they progress and how fast they learn it. I have been focus in looking better ways to start teaching them in order to keep them motivated them. Je kunt een of beide van de volgende vakken kiezen: Harmonie (akkoorden/toonladders, tonaliteiten/progressies, modulaties, enz.) en/of Solfège (ritme/auditieve vaardigheden, toonhoogte/zicht-lezen).

De methode die ik gebruik heeft ook een online audio (meespelen), zodat je de stukken ook thuis kunt spelen/zingen met de begeleiding-online audio: Klassiek en/of pop/jazz, enz.

Er is ook de mogelijkheid om te leren over Harmonie en Keyboard Voicings (akkoorden/harmonie en akkoordmelodie). Deze methoden kunnen in de praktijk worden gebracht met Harmonievoortgangen (ook met je eigen composities/liedjes, enz.), om te zien hoe Harmonie werkt met het concept van Functionele Harmonie en verder.

We bespreken waar je muzikale voorkeur ligt en welke kant we op gaan. In elk geval staat spelplezier voorop!

De lessen zijn voor alle niveaus en alle leeftijden. Online lessen is ook mogelijk via WhatsApp, etc.

ENGLISH:

You can choose one or both of the following subjects: Harmony (chord/scales, tonalities/progressions, modulations, etc.); Solfège (rhythm/aural skills, pitch/sight-reading, etc.).

The method I use also has an online audio (play along), so you can also practise in your house, play/sing along with the online audio: Classical and/or Jazz music theory!

There's also the opportunity to learn about Harmony and Keyboard Voicings (chords/harmony and chord-melody). These methods can be put into practice with Harmony Progressions (also with your own compositions/tunes, etc.), to see how Harmony works with the concept of Functional Harmony and beyond.

We discuss what your musical preferences are and which way we go. In any case, fun is paramount!

The lessons are for all ages and levels, and are taught in Dutch, English, Spanish, Catalan or Portuguese.
