Trusted teacher: This is an 8-session program aimed at the school ‘transition’ years of ages 12-19. The group sessions are facilitated following a broader Personal, Health, Social, and Economic Education (PSHE) curriculum focusing on gathering teens' needs, making them objects of reflection while leveraging neuroscience information and a playful approach. The program can also well serve as a taster for teachers/parents in separate sessions or workshops. In particular, Teen's Time explores issues around: - Working with concentration and focus; exploring how we can work with a wandering mind. - Identifying emotions, how they work, and interact with thoughts and body sensations. - Why humans worry, and how to support ourselves when we do so. - Sleep: why it is important and what to do if we struggle to sleep well. - Being with others: the opportunities and challenges of working skillfully with friendships and other relationships, Each session includes: - Learning about key areas of the brain and how they support us in our everyday activities - Some introductory breathing practices - Reflections - Animations, short video - Discussions - Role play's and enactment's - Exercises they can try in their own time Teen's Time is inspired and informed by the several children-oriented programs of the Mindfulness in School Program (MisP) organization. The feedback from children who have previously taken part in these programs is very positive. They report enjoying the group sessions and especially sharing their emotions with the other participants. They find learning and neuroscience helping them in a broad range of situations from being able to concentrate and focus more easily in school to helping them feel calmer in exams and competitions. Many have described sharing the learning with other family members and finding it helps them with their relationships with family and friends. Teen's Time Starts: on Monday, February 28 - Introductory session - Time: from 16:00 to 17:00 hr

Some key ideas that summarize its importance: Continuous Development: Cognitive rehabilitation allows for continued development of the brain, strengthening cognitive skills and promoting stronger mental performance. Adaptation to Challenges: Facing cognitive challenges strengthens the brain's ability to adapt and respond effectively to complex situations in daily life and work. Prevention of Future Problems: Cognitive stimulation can help prevent future cognitive problems and reduce the risk of cognitive decline associated with aging. Improved Academic and Work Performance: Strengthening cognition contributes to better academic and work performance, since skills such as memory, concentration and problem solving are optimized. Emotional Well-being: Cognitive health is linked to emotional well-being. Cognitive rehabilitation can improve stress management, decision making, and emotional regulation. Promoting Autonomy: Strengthening cognitive skills allows young adults to be more autonomous, making informed decisions and facing challenges independently. Innovation and Creativity: Cognitive stimulation encourages innovation and creativity by boosting the brain's ability to think flexibly and generate new ideas. Development of Social Skills: Improving cognition also benefits social skills, facilitating more effective communication and strengthening interpersonal relationships. As a professor in Psychology, my career includes extensive experience in the design and guidance of neuropsychological evaluation, stimulation and rehabilitation processes focused on adults. In this course, I offer you a personalized cognitive stimulation and rehabilitation program that will be designed in a custom way. The program is based on the use of specialized tools for those people who wish to improve their cognitive skills, such as attention, memory, language and executive functions. It is aimed at those who have experienced brain injuries with sequelae (head trauma, stroke or degenerative diseases), those who face temporary dysfunctions that affect their usual cognitive functioning and those adults who prioritize comprehensive development and quality of life.

Julien
Julien helped me learn the material for my university statistics exams. He was very patient and gave very clear explanations about the concepts we were discussing. He was friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging. He prepared material in advance for each lesson depending on my personal needs. I'm pleased to say he helped me succeed in my final exams despite the fact that I'd never really studied statistics before! I am very glad I chose him as my tutor and I recommend him to anyone else seeking mathematics or statistics tutoring, whether in person or remotely.
