Ciao! My name is Sam and I am a foreign language graduate from the UK and have lived 3 years in Italy. I recently moved to Vienna from Italy and for the last 3 years I have been teaching and tutoring English. As a language learner myself I understand well the difficulties of learning a new language and how to best overcome the challenges that foreign languages brings. I have found that the best lessons are always tailored to the student's needs as languages are composed of many skills & wide vocabularies that certain students need more than others. I am a very open and relaxed person and I find this helps take the pressure and stress off students speaking in their foreign language.

I have a C1 Italian level that I achieved through University and living in Italy, therefore, I would also be available to teach beginners and intermediate Italian learners helping with pronunciation, grammar and colloquial sayings.

I am open to doing lessons via webcam but I'd say in person lessons work better, such as being in a local café for example.

Having spent many years learning foreign languages it has become one of my biggest passions in life! Being able to help others with this same passion is something I love.
The numerous students that I have been able to help with their language skills has given me such a great feeling.

My lesson are aimed to be very concise with a focus on areas that are the most important or needed for the student. Through this the student knows exactly what they have learned and improved within the space of one hour.

My lessons are also aimed to have a relaxed environment so that it doesn't seem like work but more like a hobby and a passion, from my experience this takes the stress and fear away from making mistakes.

For me personally, the most important aspect of teaching a language is understanding who your student is, what they are interested in, and what their ambitions and goals are.

I completed a degree in Romance Languages at Duke University (currently ranked 10th in the US and 25th in the world, depending on which ranking you adhere to). German B1 is the preparation in German for the ÖSD and ÖIF B1 exam. There is a textbook included
12 lessons and 4-5 participants can take part in the course. The course can also be completed alone
and generally take place with me.
Course duration is usually 2.5 months. There is a course confirmation.

Courses from A1-C2 can be taken.
