About Me

I started giving private piano and guitar lessons at home in 2018. In January 2020 I started teaching at the "Armonía Escénica" Art Institute in the town of Ramos Mejía, where I had my first experiences planning student shows. and I also had the experience of being in the technical part as a sound engineer and lighting engineer in the dance and musical comedy show. I also made the recordings and editions of the tracks that would be used for the virtual instrument sample of 2020 and the tracks for the musical work that was performed in the theater sample of the year 2021. I am still a professor at this institution.
At the end of 2021 I entered the "ZEM Academy" of Villa Luro as a piano teacher, there I also had the experience of preparing my students for the different samples that were performed. I am still a professor at this institution.
At the beginning of 2022 I started teaching at a cultural center called "La Antigua Cultural" where I taught until October 6 of that same year. There were very few students and I could not develop well as a teacher.
During early 2022 I took a composition course for audiovisuals, I also did a year and a half of the Bachelor of Music degree at UNTREF. From the age of 8 I have learned to play the piano in a particular way with various teachers from various conservatories, at 13 I learned to play the guitar under the tutelage of my father and then I continued self-taught. Music theory was accompanied by all these teachings and I'm still learning.
I have my artistic side, I am a composer musician. Since 2012, at the age of 15, I started composing my first songs. Later, in 2018, I recorded my first song and the following year my first EP with 6 songs. Through that experience, I began to learn about the process of recording, editing, producing, mixing, and mastering. During the year 2020 I managed to buy the tools to do all this at home and set up a recording studio at home. In a self-taught way I continued learning about recording, music production and mastering.

I completed a year and a half of a Bachelor of Music degree at the National University of Tres de Febrero and I take piano classes with conservatory teachers from when I was eight years old to the present.

Our classes take place by several platforms as Google Meet or Skype, but if you feel more comfortable with others we are also open to suggestions. Our Professional Studios are set with 2 video cameras, so you can see us perfectly and also hear us perfectly with a studio microphone. Do not worry about your settings, as long as you have a stable connection this is all what we need.

Why online classes? We think online classes are a valid asset for the future. Students learn comfortably from their homes and the education that they receive is proved to have the same validity as in person lessons, if performed with the right means and the right method, obviously! This is what we have been researching and testing for the past 5 years. So far, we have reached a 90% of students that actually got top results at ABRSM examinations by being prepared exclusively online by us.

Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me.

Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on.

Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor.

Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing.

No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres. Adapting to your tastes, we'll go from baroque to blues, from Haydn to bebop... or even Michael Jackson. Why not?

I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard.

My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student.

Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you.

A bit about me:

Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The video shown below is from my stint playing and directing 'After Midnight', a show set to the music of the Duke Ellington Big Band.
