We can play both acoustic and electric guitar, and our goal will be to reach the level where you can have a blast playing along to your favourite music.

My name's Luca and I've been a full-time professional musician for the past 10 years. I mainly work as a session musician and recording artist/producer, and also as a private guitar tutor. My goal when it comes to teaching is to share my knowledge and passion for music and to help you improving and having as much enjoyment from it as I have for it. I base my lessons on my student’s ambitions and on their weaknesses, so they can improve quickly and efficiently, without loosing interest on the instrument, and so they can reach their goals, giving them a personalised lesson plan, having fun and playing different styles and techniques. Everyone is welcome to join my teaching plan if they want to spice up their playing or simply start from scratch. I specialise in all popular musical styles, such as Pop, R&B, Funk, Jazz, Rock and more, on both electric and acoustic guitar. I have been playing the piano for over 20 years. took part in many international competitions and became a prize-winner. Now I am studying at the Royal College of music as a graduate student in the piano class with Alekseev.

This course is an introduction to contemporary music theory. It covers music theory from a practical approach, aiming to provide contemporary musicians with the necessary theory knowledge to communicate effectively within an ensemble situation, as well as develop their individual skills as music practitioners. Each class focuses on a particular element of music theory. After the initial explanation, practical application is explored, giving the students the opportunity to test their knowledge, and clear any doubts.

I specialize in tutoring piano and music theory for all levels. My goal is to make the music-learning process engaging and enjoyable for everyone. Students can expect to have homework after every lesson, and parents will hear detailed feedback about how lessons are progressing.

I have instructed students of different age groups in saxophone performance and music theory (including counterpoint, harmony and composition) up until university level, in Spain and the UK. After graduating from Cambridge with a double starred first, taking into consideration my academic results and teaching experience, I have also been selected for inclusion in the Supervisor Registry to teach counterpoint and harmony papers. My approach to lessons is very flexible, and I always try to adapt to the needs and qualities of each student. I believe that communication is essential, and at the beginning of each lesson I ask my students if they found my recommendations from the previous lesson helpful and how they see their progress. After this spoken introduction, we proceed to work on some warm-up and technical exercises. Then, we play some studies and pieces, or go over some music theory exercises, trying to apply the advice from the previous lesson and make further improvements. Finally, we conclude the lesson with a summary, listing the main key points and suggestions and comparing our experience to the previous lessons, trying to find a clear sense of progression and a coherent line of work towards a certain goal. This teleological mindset occupies a central position in my methodology, and I always encourage my students to look ahead and plan a series of stimulating events or challenges to look foward to, such as a concert, a recital, a presentation or an exam.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs.
