I am an experienced translator and teacher, a native English speaker, with decades of experience working for one of the largest American multinationals and extensive freelance experience, particularly in Switzerland, where I worked with 7 agencies in Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano, and Zurich. 1977-1984: Translator and trainer at Xerox Corporation, Rochester, NY, USA, on a machine translation project using Systran software and the “artificial” language Multinational Customized English, for translations into Italian, French and Spanish, with long periods in New York, as well as in Canada, in Montreal (for French), with trips to Madrid (for Spanish) and participation in international conferences on the theme of “translation and computing” in London.
1984-2007: Independent translator and teacher based in Italy with clients and travels in England, France, Spain and especially Switzerland. Among my most important clients I can mention Studio Ambrosetti in Milan and the European Commission in Luxembourg.
