In this class, you will learn spoken and/or written Hungarian according to your needs and interests. The classes are conducted in English. As a native Hungarian speaker with experience in translation and proofreading, I can give an authentic and in-depth class about Hungarian language. I like to use creative exercises and recommend ways in which you can practice on your own. E.g. films, books, exercises. (-:

Learn Hungarian in a relaxed, practical and personalised way with a native Hungarian speaker. My lessons are conversation-focused and adapted to your individual level, goals and learning style. Whether you're a complete beginner or already speak some Hungarian, we'll work on the areas that are most useful to you – from everyday communication and pronunciation to vocabulary and grammar. I can help you learn Hungarian for everyday life, travel, work, family, or simply because you're interested in the language and culture. I also work with students who want a more structured approach and can incorporate textbooks and additional exercises into our lessons. My goal is to make Hungarian feel less intimidating and help you become more confident using the language in real situations. Lessons are friendly and supportive, with plenty of opportunities to speak and ask questions. Lessons can be taught in English, German or Portuguese, depending on your preference.

Hi, I’m Evi, a native Hungarian speaker from Hungary. I specialise in preparing students for the Hungarian simplified naturalisation and citizenship interview. I also teach general Hungarian for everyday life, travel, or speaking with your partner’s family. I’m TEFL-certified, and I have a BSc in Sports Science and two MSc degrees from UK universities in Epidemiology and Musculoskeletal Sciences. For citizenship preparation, we can work on: • Common questions and personalised answers • Your family, ancestry, application and everyday topics • Follow-up questions and listening comprehension • Pronunciation, speaking confidence and mock interviews My lessons are also suitable for complete beginners and learners who want to: • Speak more confidently and naturally • Practise conversation alongside independent study • Communicate with Hungarian relatives or a partner’s family • Understand and use grammar more effectively Lessons are adapted to your level and goals. Beginners can build essential vocabulary and grammar step by step, while other learners can focus on their weaker areas. Most lessons include guided conversation, corrections, new vocabulary and clear grammar explanations. Structured grammar lessons are also available. A little bit about me: I have lived in the UK and Singapore and travelled to more than 90 countries. I enjoy travelling, gym training, hiking and volleyball.
