Hello, I am a classical piano and theory teacher. I have tutored a large number of both adult and young students, during the last 16 years. My students' age is from preschool to seniors. I invite you to join me for piano lessons in Charlottenburg, Wilmersdorferstr. I have a Diploma in classical piano teaching. Lessons are provided in a calm, fun and relaxed environment. You will learn to read, play and interpret your favorite pieces. For beginners, develop concepts of musicality and intermediates to progress and improve technic. Languages English, Russian and little German. I have a good piano at home, so you don't need to buy a piano at the beginning. I also provide my students with sheets of music. Everyone is welcome. I'm Mary from Berlin. I'm a teacher and piano composer with 15 years of experience and also teach at a music school. I also have a bachelor's degree in teaching English. If you're interested in teaching your children how to play the piano in addition to theoretical knowledge, I'd be happy to help you. I prefer to adapt my lessons to the needs and wishes of my students. I believe that the teacher's main goal in the first lesson is to encourage students so that he or she can soon play the music of a famous composer and composer, cultivating a love of music in students' hearts from day one. I am Anne, I come from the beautiful and rainy Bretagne, in France, and I settled in the beautiful,and less rainy Berlin.

As I'm myself learning German, I understand the struggles you face when you learn a new language. I know that it is sometimes hard to dive into this new world and how much a safe atmosphere is important when it comes to make this challenge self-rewarding and stay motivated.

That's why, after a first meeting, we'll define together your needs and personal objectives, so that I can adapt my lessons. We'll answer two important questions : what goals do you want to achieve (focus on oral skills, pass an exam, understand verbs’ conjugation...) and how do you personally find motivation ?

Positive emotions and motivation help us memorize better, like repetition. So, depending on which learner you are, we can resort to games, flash-cards, mind-maps, creative activities so as to solicit imagination and have fun... You can propose themes (and I have a bunch in stock), so that I build courses that would help you learning by working on subjects you're interested in.

Classical traditional teaching with help of appealing French schoolbook which starts easy but takes student smoothly but fast to intermediate/high level combined with oral conversation. Meant for school children especially with the aim of passing exams or for adults who want to take French back.
I adore languages. I like to teach, to pass on knowledge, and rejoice in progress which, as a matter of fact, is a result of matching teamwork. I am quite old fashioned in my teaching which means that we will learn by serious work and not 'by play' as some schools or parents wish for. We have to keep in mind that the idea is that the student is progressing in his/her learning which does not mean that it cannot be fun.
