I teach the Esraj, a bowed instrument found in North India, through playing techniques that were developed specifically in the state of Bengal. With Esraj, I teach classical music from North India. Ragas will therefore be addressed, with the modal improvisation that results from them. I teach as I received my teaching, in the traditional way, with oral transmission.
