Writing a good personal statement could be the deciding factor regarding which university students will go to. As such, I am committed to helping them learn how to sell them selves to the best of their abilities through a one page statement.

I have helped numerous students with their personal statements and cover letters. Mine have gotten me into top universities both for my undergraduate and postgraduate studies (LSE and ESCP Business School). As such I have plenty of experience in writing excellent personal statements.

I have different kind of lessons:

1. Face-to-face lessons of modern singing

Modern singing: technique, improvisation and repertoire
The face-to-face classes take place at a studio in Prenzlauer Berg and are mainly aimed at adults and teenagers who want to learn music. They have a duration of 50 minutes.

In singing classes, breathing and vocal technique are worked through warm-up exercises, always with the aim of working the voice in a healthy and correct way. My classes are mainly focused on the repertoire of the student’s preferred style, which can be pop, soul, jazz, blues, bossa nova, tango and bolero, among others. Each style is worked differently and with the appropriate resources to lead to a good interpretation.

Both for warm-up and repertoire I usually accompany the student on the piano. Depending on the style sometimes I may work with karaokes. I also teach a good use of the microphone, to fight stage panic and to enjoy a performance on stage. The singing lessons are aimed at people of any level, from beginners to advanced, even to someone who is preparing an exam for an upper grade of modern music.

My main objective is above all that the student feels motivated, and not under pressure. For me it is very important that the student enjoys music and the music lessons.

2. Initiation to piano: modern harmony and auditory education

The piano lessons are aimed primarily at beginners. My intention is mainly to prepare my piano students so that they can later develop a more advanced style with a teacher whose main instrument is the piano. For this, I start with basic exercises for a good hand technique and with simple songs so that the student learns to read music. For those who already have a basic level, I start directly with scales and chords, mostly focusing on teaching songs in modern harmony. The main objective is the motivation of the student, avoiding pressure. For me it is very important that the student enjoys music and the music lessons.

3. Modern singing on-line lessons

Modern singing on-line classes: technique, improvisation and repertoire
Like face-to-face classes, online lessons last 50 minutes. They are also aimed at adults and teenagers who want to learn music and find virtual classes more comfortable, for whatever reason.

The lessons are given through a virtual meeting app, either Jitsi or Zoom. They are similar to those in the classroom, with the difference that a little more time is devoted to the repertoire than to the technique.

I consider of great importance that the student enjoys the lessons also in this case and does not lose motivation.

Piano is an incredible instrument to learn - it provides you with a broad understanding of music, develops listening skills, and great dexterity, increases concentration, and much more.
I specialize in jazz piano but teach all musical styles according to the student's needs and wishes. Throughout the lesson we will learn music and songs, technique, harmony, ear training, theory, and rhythm - all subjects of music can be addressed through the piano!

ENGLISH-SPEAKING PIANO TUTOR

I teach adults of all levels!

I often mentor people who are just starting out, helping them develop their interest in the instrument and play the music they love.

A lot of students come in with anxiety about how good or fast they're going to be able to learn. I work to build a respectful, supportive environment where you feel comfortable developing and learning at your own pace.

For intermediate and advanced students, I teach with a particular focus on fundamental technique through études, and developing musicality.

Oftentimes, as hobbyists, we have holes from our early studies that prevent us from developing later in life. My aim is to help correct that. You should leave with renewed confidence to tackle pieces that have intimidated or eluded you in the past.

I have teaching experiences since fourteen years, I studied music education, piano, harpsichord which I will use for your understanding. I completed my master's degree in music education and classical singing at the music school "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, Bulgaria. As a soloist at the music theater in Sofia, I participated in operettas, musicals and operas. In Berlin I was a music teacher at a primary school and at the children's theater as a theater teacher.
I am currently an actress and singer at the musical theater “Kabarett Lori” and an active musical pop and opera singer in and around Berlin.

I started teaching piano by chance, with refugees. I realized how powerful music can be to help people. Over the years, teaching has become something I value deeply. I still work as an artist, and music and art remain my biggest passions. But the moments I share with students have become just as meaningful. I've been able to build connections with people in a way I never expected, and I see this work as a way of contributing to a better world.

Most of my students are adults. Some played as children and are returning, others are complete beginners; some are advanced and want to go deeper. In lessons, we work not only on technique, but also on musical understanding: reading what is “inside” the score, developing interpretation, and experiencing music as a living language, not just dots on a page. I also enjoy teaching children and accompanying their growth over time. Watching how music supports their development is always moving.
