I am an experienced English tutor, who has tutored mostly at GCSE and A-Level, level. I assist students in becoming more critical in analysing texts and becoming better writers both creative writing and academic writing. I am experienced in supporting students who are EAL and have taught both EAL and ESL students of different ages. Further, as an experienced writer I have supported and tutored other writers in their writing. I tailor my tutoring to your needs, as a school teacher I have a broad knowledge of all subject areas and a strong understanding of the national curriculum.

English can be a subject many find hard while at school. My aim as a private tutor is to get my students to learn to like English as well as improve their grades.
I teach a range of ages and levels. One hour or more depending on how the student feels. After an initial test a solid plan will be made for the student so that the outcomes of the course are outlined from the start. Every 6 weeks a progress test will be given so that we can mionitor the progress being made and allow for more challenging opportunities.
I love the subject I teach and I hope to omit that onto my student so that they avidly want to attend my lessons and leave feeling as though they have gained knowledge.

I specialise in tutoring adults and students English language and literature at GCSE and GCE level. My goal is to build students' confidence in reading a range of texts and writing with variety of audiences in mind. I ensure i use challenging, topical texts that are guaranteed to engage the learner and have fun doing so. I can set further academic, pre exam prep ( PEP) tasks linked to the session that build on prior learning ( aka homework). I use National curriculum and exam board marking schemes and levels in line with your school / college.

These sessions are best delivered in a sequence based on certain aspects of any given exam paper. The focus is to learn how to confidently navigate each section and question per paper. You will learn to skilfully apply the appropriate knowledge and skills per question in a forensic approach to completing each question to a high standard. You may want to get a grade 9 or you may want to get a grade 5- no matter what your ambitions, I will support you to achieve your best before sitting the exams.

Passionate about my mother tongue French, I offer personalized individual or group lessons at home. I know how to adapt to all requests and types of public. Specialist in French literature as well as dissertations, I can also teach beginners by initiation, vocabulary, syntax, discussion with adults and children by playful means, songs, poems, plays ... I have just completed my A-levels (predicted A*, A, A) at Stoke Newington School and Sixth Form, and I'd like to tutor GCSE and SAT students in English Literature and Language (my favourite subject) during my gap year.
