Let's have fun! I believe education should be driven by curiosity, not scores. It's the teacher who creates the atmosphere where curiosity is allowed to develop, which leads to learning. It should be an enjoyable experience the student will want to repeat. That is much easier said than done. It takes many years of skillful practice for a teacher to develop the talents needed to identify student weaknesses and employ strategies that address those weak areas using methodologies that inspire the individual student to learn. Pushing through worksheets and endless, meaningless math problems in order to get a high score does not promote learning, it's an easy way we can get higher test scores at the expense of learning. Developing the stamina needed to work through a single, complex problem that is meaningful to the student, requires the use of targeted skills and demands the cooperative efforts of others holds many advantages over "death by worksheet" methodologies. The teacher's job is to create, employ, monitor, adjust as needed and follow up on meaningful lessons that inspire students to learn. Grading papers is simply not enough. Once the student is motivated to learn, the test scores will reflect the advanced skills and higher-order thinking capabilities of the student who now loves learning. The test scores cannot be ignored, but they are not the goal, they help identify how well we have met the goal, both teacher and student.

Hello,
I am a currently certified primary teacher from the USA. My current certification is in Elementary (Primary) Education, All Subjects, Ages 5-13 in the State of Florida. My USA background check is current and am fully qualified to teach children of all ages. I have been teaching at the primary level, (9-12 year old) for more than 20 years. I specialize in English Language, Primary Math and Science, Computer Science and Robotics. I also have experience teaching adults at the University level as a professor of aerodynamics, and Pilot Training as a Flight Instructor. I am now retired in Zaragoza, but I still enjoy teaching very much and would like to continue on a part time basis.

Actualmente soy un maestro de primaria certificado de los Estados Unidos. Mi certificación actual es en educación primaria (primaria), todas las materias, edades 5-13 en el estado de Florida. Mi verificación de antecedentes de EE. UU. Está actualizada y estoy totalmente calificado para enseñar a niños de todas las edades. He estado enseñando en el nivel primario, (9-12 años) por más de 20 años. Me especializo en inglés, matemáticas y ciencias primarias, informática y robótica. También tengo experiencia en la enseñanza de adultos a nivel universitario como profesor de aerodinámica y entrenamiento de pilotos como instructor de vuelo.
