Here are some of the goals that you and I can work together to make it happen: 1) Learn to play your favorite tunes on piano or electric piano 2) Learn to accompany yourself while you are singing 3) Learn to play in a band setting 4) Learn to write and play your own songs 5) Learn the keyboard skills for your home production gears (i.e. MIDI keyboard controllers) 6) Learn to improvise on the piano Now, a little bit about myself; the moment I decided that I should try for music came much later compared to my colleagues. Trusted teacher: Hello I'm a professional bass player living in Amsterdam. I have a passion for teaching and passing on some of the knowledge that I have acquired during my studies at several schools and heard from the musicians I look up to. I've done my bachelor degree at The Royal Academy of Music in Denmark, and I finished my Masters at Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2024. I teach double bass, electric bass and composition. Musically I try to be as open as I can. For me it doesn't matter if it's free jazz, traditional jazz, pop or metal as long as it feels good. I'm a leader of my own group where we combine jazz and indie rock. we will release our debut album this fall. I'm also a sideman in several groups. As for composition I have experience with composing for regular jazz groups, big band, string quartet and irregular constellations such as my band with three guitars and three horns. Some thoughts about teaching: I believe that the most important thing when teaching is having a good relation to one another and generally just having a good time. If we don't enjoy the process we don't learn. You should feel comfortable saying how you feel and what you want to learn/don't want to learn. With that transparency I will be able to customize the teaching and balance the curriculum so that I meet your needs while pushing you into unknown territory. Violin and Viola lessons 🎻 with a professional teacher for all ages and levels (Amsterdam)

I studied the violin for about 2 months with Fermin and I have grown much in my knowledge of not just how to play but how to think when playing. Fermin has also helped a lot with technical struggles allowing me to break through some of the challenges that were bothering me for a long time. He is a very patient teacher but he will not hesitate to stop you and correct you (as any good teacher would) if you are not playing correctly. I personally requested that he gives me honest feedback which really helped me play better tecnically and musically. I believe he will be open to adapting his strictness upon specific requests. The time difference (Fermin being in Spain and I being in the US) has not been easy but Fermin was very willing to bend his schedule and provided several time slots to accommodate my availability. To sum up, if you are looking for a teacher that is patient in character yet unrelenting toward the goal of fully tapping your potential both musically and tecnically, I would recommend you take a lesson with Fermin.

Tom had given economie lessen to both my children that are on the middle bar school. My kids were lost, going very bad specially in economie and with limited understanding at school lessons. I decided to hire Tom, was difficult to find someone that give lessons to teenagers and that was knowledged. Tom has been with us the last months, my kids began understanding better, getting the point and scoring better at school. Sometimes I could overhear the online lessons or even 'live lessons' when he came home. Tom is great, with lots of patience, straight to the point, know how to explain, never lose the temper. We are very happy and will certainly recommend him. He is very professional and can motivate the students in a very good way. Thanks Tom!

I want to start off by saying a huge thank you to Sacha! I am a Master student who needed academic support for a statistics course in February and although I have always lacked confidence in math, Sacha made me feel as if i had the foundation and ability to not only pass the course but also succeed in writing the results section of my Thesis paper. She was always very flexible in her availability, and was able to meet several times per week, which for me, was very beneficial. Other than that, Sacha was approachable, friendly and a great tutor. I appreciate all the support and definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to grow as an academic :)
