My name is Serdane and I offer English lessons to high school students and adults who find it difficult to develop a way of working that suits them. Extroverted and bubbly... and above all, full of humor!

I believe that language learning is based above all on the development of an appropriate learning method. Some learn languages intuitively by engaging in conversations. Others, on the contrary, need rigorous exposure to grammatical concepts before launching into conversations. There are as many ways to learn as there are students... That's why I adapt my lessons to everyone's needs, and above all, I try to help each student discover what works for him, so that he can continue to progress independently.

Hello everyone and welcome to my English and or German lessons taught in group. I organise English and German lessons for children and teenagers and separately adult English group lessons (beginners to advanced). For children and teenagers, interactive activities are used as a way to motivate them, help them remember what they have learned in class and make sure they will be able to apply their language skills in real life context.
For the adults lessons, depending on what the students are willing to learn, we can have discussions based on the news, some grammar, writing... I am open to any suggestions, just tell me your needs and I am going to adapt the next lessons for you. If you wish to invite your friends and make a group with them, just let me know and I will allocate you a time slot.

For private English lessons, please have a look at my other advertisements. The German lessons are usually for beginners/ intermediate (exceptionally advanced levels in German can be organised only if there is a high-demand).

I am a young teacher graduated from British A-Levels (CESS equivalent in Belgium and baccalaureate in France) as well as from the French school Sciences Po. I have an experience of about 5 years in private lessons and have also taught the year last in primary. I've been teaching English to small children up to teenagers at École Française Internationale. I give lessons for beginners and intermediate levels. I mix between French and English so the pupil doesn't get too confused, but also allows them to understand every detail.

For beginners, we usually talk about our surroundings, what's close to us and what affects us on a daily basis. (Numbers, directions, the weather, asking simple questions, what's a noun and pronoun and where to put them in a sentence). I like to find playful activities so that the pupil/student is in control of their work.
Of course, this is an example for a certain age group, but it also varies depending on their knowledge and their age.

For intermediates, we make basic conversation. Ex: How do you go to school; What do you do in your free time? ; What's the weather like?

The start of the course with a new learner consists of detecting their level by talking about their background, what they already know, what they must master in order to no longer have any gaps. The first lesson also allows the learner to get comfortable and get to know me to establish mutual trust. That’s why I use a touch of my British humor to achieve this. (I generally do this at the start of the lesson with my students to establish a good mood and they are always delighted!) To help the learner better engage with the learning, I will ask them what their passions/hobbies are, this who interests him to arouse interest in learning. I will adapt my lessons on subjects that speak to him more.

Whatever the reason for the course, whether it is to improve oral, written, reading or listening comprehension, I organize audio sessions, readings, everything necessary to deepen in the language.

An English course for both beginners and advanced, both for children and adults... we discover the basics of the language, grammar and useful vocabulary in a fun way, or we deepen these knowledge, with some revisions if necessary. Obviously, we will tackle all skills: reading, writing, speaking and hearing.

Who? I'm Julie, a fan of languages, I've already mastered almost four, and I always want to discover new ones. English has (almost) no more secrets for me. I'm also a photographer and a photography teacher on the side, so I have a background in building lessons with lots of practice.

How? For one to two hours (two hours recommended to progress more efficiently), I always prepare my lessons specially and in an up-to-date way, using recent articles, relevant and useful vocabulary on a daily basis. Classes are currently only taking place online, as I am not in Belgium.
