This class will help your child progress in reading fluency and comprehension with an emphasis on phonics for young readers.

I help students grow as readers—many of my students increase six or more reading levels in a year. I specialize in phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. I am highly skilled in teaching children how to read with confidence. With my experience and passion for literacy, I would be a great tutor to support your child’s reading success.
I create engaging, structured lessons that meet each child at their individual level and build skills step by step. I incorporate interactive activities, guided reading, and targeted practice to strengthen understanding and boost confidence. I also provide regular feedback and simple strategies for families to support learning at home. My goal is to make reading enjoyable while helping students develop strong, lasting literacy skills.

About Me
Hello! My name is Jasmine. I am currently a first-grade teacher at an International American School in Estepona. I have 19 years of teaching experience and a strong track record of helping students grow as readers—many of my students increase six or more reading levels after working with me. I specialize in phonics, fluency, and comprehension, and I am highly skilled in teaching children how to read with confidence. With my experience and passion for literacy, I would be a great tutor to support your child’s reading success. I believe every child can become a successful reader with the right support, encouragement, and instruction tailored to their individual needs. I use engaging, research-based strategies to make learning fun and meaningful while building strong foundational skills. I also communicate regularly with families to share progress and strategies that can be used at home. My goal is to help your child not only improve their reading ability but also develop a lifelong love of books and learning.
Education
I attended the University of South Florida and earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education Pre-K to 6th Grade. I am ELL endorsed (English Language Learner) I am a native English speaker from the United States.

19 years as a classroom teacher in a public-school setting and a private school setting. Grades: Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade.
