I am educated and experienced music teacher coming from Czech Republic. I graduated Prague Conservatoire and I also attended in many international piano courses with well known pianist such as Eugen Indjic and others.

I have experiences with teaching children from very early age as well as teaching adults. I have my own way of teaching playing the piano small children with telling stories and playing games with piano which is very effective. I taught at international Montessori school in Prague in English, so I am experienced with this.

The length of the lesson will be tailored to the age and skill level of the student. For beginners with no prior experience, we will begin with the fundamentals of music theory and practical exercises to build dexterity on the piano. For students who already know how to read sheet music, we will work on a diverse range of pieces from different musical styles, with an emphasis on piano technique and expression.

I give piano Lessons for all age groups and levels. As a Bachelor graduate from the University of Music in Leipzig, Germany, and a Masters of Performance graduate of the University of Music in Cologne, Germany, I am now studying at the University of Arts in Zürich. As a Master Pedagogy Student, it would be my pleasure to guide you through the first steps in your Piano and music education. At my class you’ll be able to learn playing any kind of music on the piano - starting from classical to jazz/pop.
I can even make transcription of any pop songs for the piano when needed. The lessons will also include the basic knowledge of music theory.

Je m'appelle Ariel, une pianiste classique brésilienne étudiant actuellement à la Zürcher Hochschule der Künste et diplômée de l'École Normale de Musique de Paris. J'ai 8 ans d'expérience en tant que professeur de piano, tant au Brésil qu'en France, et j'ai acquis au fil des années une bonne connaissance de ce qui marche et de ce qui ne marche pas, comment motiver les élèves et comment trouver une ligne saine entre être amusant et exigeant :)

Ma méthode consiste, en quelques mots, à 1) faire de la musique avant tout et 2) vous donner de l'autonomie. Essentiellement, rien de ce que je dis n’est « purement technique », le but de chaque petit détail et de chaque aspect technique est de vous permettre de donner vie à votre propre musicalité intérieure ! Je veux que vous preniez plaisir à jouer, et pour cela je veux aussi que vous soyez indépendant, et je vous donnerai les outils pour que vous puissiez, avec le temps, travailler entièrement seul sur un morceau de musique, en identifiant les problèmes et les stratégies de mise en caisse pour les résoudre.

I teach Piano in a fun, laid-back and casual way, always structuring my lessons around the students' needs and tastes. Please note: I specifically do not teach piano with notations or scores of any sort.

My method of teaching is based on playing by ear, with emphasis on the music and the joy in playing it, rather than the theory. Notation is great and theory is important - I studied these myself; however, I have found that learning an instrument by ear is a far deeper, enjoyable and progressive way to get to know your instrument. I also place importance on technique and memorization, again tailoring these to the needs and wishes of the student. My methods have proven very successful and I'm confident your playing will improve quickly!

I teach both children and adults, teenagers and grandparents :-)

Some background to my instruments:

Piano: I initially taught myself the piano and took lessons later on. My main or favourite styles on the piano are: Blues & Boogie Woogie, Traditional Jazz, Rock n' Roll, Pop and Soul. I love many forms of Classical music as well.

Guitar: I taught myself guitar as a kid and play both acoustic and electric. My favourite styles on the guitar are, on the one hand, heavy Rock, Metal and Punk, and on the other gentle Jazz, Blues and ballads :-)

Drums: this became my main gigging instrument between '10 and '20. I mostly focus on funky grooves, hard Rock or Metal, Pop, Jazz, Swing; some rudiments, lots of grooves :-)

Pianista clásica de 27 años de Brasil y actualmente radicado entre Canadá y Brasil, tiene una Maestría en Psicología e Interpretación Musical, y actualmente concluye el Doctorado (PhD) en Psicología e Interpretación Musical - etapas finales y defensa de tesis. También había estudiado en la Universidade de São Paulo (Brasil), la Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (Brasil) y l'Université d'Ottawa (Canadá).

My name is Federica and I am a Pianist from Italy. I recently completed my Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy at the “Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana” with Prof. Alessandro D'Onofrio in Lugano. I completed my Bachelor degree at Conservatory “C. Pollini” in Padua achieving the honours with Prof. Massimo De Ascaniis and afterwards, in 2020, I obtained my soloist-concert Master in Piano with Prof. Riccardo Zadra at Conservatory “A. Pedrollo ” in Vicenza.
During my studies I also attended an annual advanced course in Piano at Music Academy in Sacile with Prof. Stefania Redaelli.

Hello! My name is Orestis, I come from Cyprus and I am 27 years old. I am passionate about teaching, and one of the greatest joys of my professional career is watching my students flourish. I have been playing the piano for 20 years now and have over 7 years in teaching the piano. My goal is to make the piano lessons fun and enjoyable while also incorporating all the necessary elements, such as theory, music history and sight-reading, to create a well rounded musical education. I am experienced with exam preparations (ABRSM) and music school admissions exams, but I prefer to create my own curriculum to fit each student’s specific needs and aspirations.
I studied at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK (BA) and at the Liszt Academy of Music, HU (MA).
