I am a professional lyric soprano graduated from the CNSM of Lyon.
I participate in productions with the Concert d'Astrée, the Choir of Namur, Accentus, the Opéra National de Lorraine, Choir de la Chapelle Harmonique. I am also on the lists of the Montpellier Opera, Concert Spirituel, Ensemble Correspondances and Radio France choir.
I have just finished a production of Haydn's Die Schöpfung at the Opéra National de Lorraine last January-February, conducted by Marta Gardolinska (Guillaume Fauchère choir director), directed by Kevin Barz.

I sang solo and in chorus the role of the Trojan woman in Campra's Idomenée in 2021 at the Lille Opera and the Berlin Staatsoper, staging of the fura dels baus,
I also sang the solo of Campra's Requiem at the philharmonies of Luxembourg, Lille, Essen Cologne and Berlin with the Concert d'Astrée in 2019 directed by Emmanuelle Haïm.

In 2019, I participated in the production of Les Indes Galantes by Rameau with the Namur Choir at the Opera Bastille, directed by Leonardo Garcia Alarcon and directed by Clement Cogitore. In 2022, I participated in numerous productions, notably with the Accentus choir in Beethoven's 9th symphony, the missa solemnis or even a polyphonic baroque project.
In 2022 I participated in the production of Hulda by Cesar Franck with the Namur Choir at the Grand Manège de Namur, the Liège Philharmonic and the Théatre des Champs Elysées.

My background as well as my skills in lyrical singing allow me to master my instrument well. I am a very curious and very patient person, and I like to find solutions to problems. Transmitting my passion to students wishing to discover or develop their voices, discover their artistic personality would be a great pleasure for me. If I can transmit this joy that I have from singing as well as my acquired knowledge, it would be a great exploration for them as for me.

Learning music, is directly connected to the cognition system of our mind, and our cognition is the first step to perceiving the music, so it is essential to understand music and perform it.
I am proposing classes in Piano, Composition, and Music Theory and writings.
In the class of Piano depending on the student's wishes, we work on different methods, from learning music just as an activity to students who wish to continue their profession as a musician.
The class of composition has the same algorithm as the piano class, the method selection is based on the student's wishes.
Music Theory is proposed in both classes of composition and piano on the side but for the students who wish to learn music theory separately with more concentration, I offer this class as a separate class too.
Class of Harmony and Writing actually has the same situation as music theory classes but students in the course of composition will be more specialized in harmony and counterpoint than piano students and of course, this course is proposed as a separate class too.

My teacher's credo

As an opera singer, I have had the opportunity to perform on international stages while continuing to teach, which is a true vocation for me.

In vocal pedagogy, I believe that each student is the bearer of a unique instrument: their voice. This is why it is essential to adapt teaching and methodological tools to the individuality of each student. This approach allows me to conduct my classes in a variety of ways, choosing the most relevant vocal exercises or repertoire pieces to reveal the individual potential of each voice.

My technique is based on:

* in-depth breathing exercises,
* awareness of the whole body as an instrument,
* understanding the biological principles of breathing and its artistic role,
* the development of a free and resonant vocal emission.

My main objectives are to:

* maintain a feeling of high vocal position, awareness of resonant cavities in singing,
* work on the purity and continuity of vowels (legato), work on diction (Italian, German, French, etc.)
* gradually develop the tessitura,
* harmonize and balance the different vocal registers.

Katherine has been vocally trained in contemporary for 25 years and studied classical voice for three years. After developing Muscular Tension Dysphonia in 2010 and not singing for almost two years, she overcame this vocal disorder after working with some of the best voice and voice rehabilitation specialists in the UK. This experience further motivated her interest in teaching the following to her students in contemporary voice* using knowledge and training gained by renowned vocal coaches, ENTs and voice rehabilitation specialists:

Over the next six years, he was very active as an accompanist and music director for several musical theatre productions, a jazz pianist for many bands in the city, a composer and leader of his contemporary jazz trio, which won 3rd place at the 2017 Conad International Jazz Competition, and the co-founder and music director of an independent contemporary opera company. As a ballet pianist, Daniel trained at the École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec and has since worked with Pacific Northwest Ballet, Northern Ballet, and the Australian Ballet. Since returning to Seattle in 2020, he has worked with The 5th Avenue Theatre, one of the most prestigious musical theatres in the United States, as a pianist, music director and vocal coach. Recently relocated to Paris, he currently holds a position as pianist at the Paris Opera Ballet.
