Trusted teacher: [GERMAN] I firmly believe that good teaching begins with caring as much as possible about the needs and views of students, being sympathetic and being able to see the world through their lenses. The student can be as inspiring to the teacher as the teacher is to the student. The lessons can be designed individually according to your needs. We can discuss what interests you, what you want to learn, from classical or jazz to popular genres. If you're ready to find out what kind of journey and progress we can make, write to me! [ENGLISH] I truly believe that good teaching starts with the maximum possible amount of caring about the student's needs, point of view, practicing sympathy and being able to see the world through their glasses at least as much as it is possible. The student can be just as inspiring for the teacher as the teacher can be for the student. When they happen to fit each other, their work bears fruit in no time! The lessons can be personalized based on your needs. We can discuss what you are interested in, what you would like to learn about from classical or jazz to popular genres. If you are ready to figure out what kind of journey and progress we can make, write to me! About me/About me: [GERMAN] I am a 26-year-old musician, did my master's degree in flute in Hungary, study composition at the Berlin University of the Arts, have been giving piano, flute and music theory lessons and tutoring in mathematics for 6 years. I am a person whose whole life has always revolved around music since I was born. I always look forward to sharing other people's knowledge, having good discussions with open-minded people and discovering new perspectives and new aspects of our world. I grew up in a family of musicians, my parents are professional musicians in a symphony orchestra. I have been learning piano and flute since I was five years old. As a child, I wanted to learn a little about as many instruments as possible, such as tuba, bassoon, violin, acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar and double bass, accordion, etc. In the end, flute, piano and composition became my profile. I have organized and performed many different concerts based on classical, contemporary, experimental, theatrical, electronic, jazz and pop music, free jazz, free improvisation, graphic notation, sound painting, performance arts, folk music of various peoples and so on. I am excited to learn something new about each type of music and find connections between pieces of music that come from quite different origins. Trusted teacher: Hello! I am a Canadian from the West Coast and I have recently made Berlin my home. I am excited to offer flute lessons here, because I have a lot I can teach. I have taught for a few years in Toronto, Canada where I hold a degree in music. To begin with, all my lessons are grounded in body and mind awareness. I strive to impart to my students an ability to stay centred. My knowledge comes both from my teachers in the past, my experience teaching, my experience playing, practising, and performing, on the flute and other instruments and the study of Alexander technique, Tai Chi, and yoga. The insights I share are always unique to each student, as each student will have particular strengths and weaknesses with sound production and technique. At the base of all my lessons is what’s most fundamental— developing a rich expressive tone through the control of the respiratory apparatus. What I do differently from other teachers is incorporating both the “classical side” and the “jazz side” in my lessons. Through the “classical side“ we will approach expression, clarity of tone, phrasing, and breathing through the interpretation of music. Through the “jazz side” we will work on developing a basic working practical theory with improvisational exercises, which you will be able to apply both to improvising your own music and interpreting other’s music. My desire is that my students don’t become “caged” into the notes on the page, but are able to freely and fully express themselves on their own. Ultimately, the two sides meet in the ideal of all my teaching—to help bring out my student’s voice. This is the art which the great performers of the world have mastered— communicating with their own voice. With this, it won’t matter whether you’re playing your music or someone else’s— it will sound like “your own”. If you or your child are completely new to the flute, or you have played for many years and have gotten stuck with what to do next, or if you play an entirely different woodwind instrument and want to learn about improvising, , please contact me I have no doubt I will have a lot I can help you with. 🙂 I spent many years in the notes-on-the-page-cage, and I broke free, so I can help you do the same.

Playing music and expressing yourself through an instrument is something that everyone can do! I believe in music being an inclusive and attainable skill no matter your experience. I have a passion for both teaching and playing the bassoon and flute, and believe in creating a positive and exciting environment for students. I have 10+ years experience as a flute and bassoon tutor across multiple schools in Sydney and London, and have recently moved to Berlin. I am able to teach in English only. I work as a freelance bassoonist in London and Berlin, and have worked with major orchestras such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Berlin Philharmonic Karajan Akademie and the Orchestral of the Royal Opera House, London. I graduated with a Master’s degree from Guildhall School of music and drama, London. My teaching experience is extensive. I have taught students between the ages of 3-30. I have worked 1:1 with students, and have had lots of experience with groups of up to 40 students across many instruments. I have put many students through practical musical exams and highly encourage them if desired. My students have a 100% success rate in their exams. As I am currently a performer, teacher and student myself, I am very aware of the balance between hard work and having fun. I believe the best way to create a successful musical journey is through a positive and encouraging environment, where students can develop their skills and take risks without fear! I also take highly into account the individuality of students and their desires, so make sure to adjust my approach as suited. If you would like to learn the flute and/or bassoon just for fun, you are welcome. If you would like to further develop your musical skills, I offer lessons for competitions, school exams, as well as auditions in orchestras or conservatories.

I teach saxophone, clarinet, flute, harmonica, and bass guitar online(virtually). I think it's very important from the beginning to find your individual voice on your instrument. Technique is important, but it will be taught simultaneously with artistic voice. One of the great things about music is being to express your version of yourself on your instrument. What's the point in learning scales if you can't play the song you want to play? From day one, we will focus on all aspects of learning, and of music, at the same time. I'm super patient and I love to teach, and I'll cater my teaching style to the individual student. I look forward to teaching you! About me: I started playing music when I was I ten. I was awarded a partial scholarship to the University of Idaho's Lionel Hampton School of Music where I majored in Classical Saxophone Performance, where I won the Outstanding Jazz Soloist award (2004). I then received a partial scholarship to the Berklee College of Music and studied there with a principal instrument of saxophone, and graduated with a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production in 2009. I've spent the last ten years performing full-time, on cruise ships (Carnival, Princess, Holland-America, Celebrity, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, The World), land tours (iLa Mawana national tour), theatre productions (For The Record: The Brat Pack, Broadway's After Midnight), and independent bands (Samsaya Trio, Vivian Clement Quartet). My performing experience has taken me to 70 countries and all seven continents. I've self-recorded and self- produced multiple albums. I've been featured as an arranger in many settings, including Robert McFletcher's LOVE. I have three of my own shows (A Public Saxophone and other Bedtime Stories, Just Sax, and CBSAXLIVE). While I studied saxophone as my primary instrument, I also play flute, clarinet, harmonica and bass guitar at a professional level. My degree is in composition and recording/production, so I would love to help anyone getting started in that area. I also teach music theory for those interested in learning theory.
