Do you something have tunes in your head? Would you like to make your own song? Would you like to learn how to write down your music so that other people can play it? Music composition is one of my very favourite things to do. Together, we can explore what music you would like to write, how to structure a song, what techniques you can use to develop your musical ideas. You can write for your own instrument, or we can research how to write for instruments you've never even played. I am a composer, and have been writing music professionally since 2012. It's a very fulfilling field of work for me, and I would love to show others how to develop their interest and aptitude for it. If you'd like to explore music composition, please get in touch! I would love to guide you on this fascinating journey.

Either working on the fundamentals of bass or guitar, left / right hand techniques, a specific song or even developing a more advanced playing, I always strive to bring insight and enjoyment over our music practice, I believe this is essential to connect with our creativity in a practical way, and massively improve our playing. Normally, a lesson would be part of a cycle of lessons, involving a strategy specially adapted to the student's needs, in that sense, we will work towards the music you are into, and grow in specific areas of your music practice and playing.

My aim is always to help you find what the heart of the song is about, and help you to bring this out and really make it shine. To help illustrate ideas about topics we discuss I will bring examples that can help inform the music you are creating, we will explore ideas of arrangement, orchestration, band leading and / or production to help flesh out your songs, and we will explore music theory too when that is helpful for us and / or if that is interesting to you. For more experienced songwriters we can explore how to write parts for other players, how to notate and orchestrate songs for acoustic instruments, how to record songs, or how to get the best playing out of your bandmates to help your song shine

Singing: I help you discover and develop your true vocal sound. I've adapted Classical voice techniques to modern pop and contemporary singing to make it effortless. I treat the voice as an instrument, and help you train it in a way that you have freedom to sing whatever genre and style you like. What to expect in a lesson: -Warmups (general vocal stretching, and some specifically targeting the weak points in your voice) -Sing me a song of your choice for me to evaluate and assess your specific weaknesses and address a vocal protocol for them. -We then break down the song into sections and address each issue head-on to find the right technical solution right away. -Solutions are effective, practical, and easy to use (especially with some practice). Songwriting: I walk you through the process of writing, how to turn your feelings into words and melody, and sometimes, I write it with you! The goal is to help you better express yourself. What to expect in a songwriting session: -We will have some personal chats so I can help you write something therapeutic (if that is how you would like to use songwriting, otherwise we can keep it light) -I will type out key words and phrases from our conversation. -We will then look over all the text, and start forming lyrics with whatever stands out and inspires you. -We will practice some improvisation, and learn some basic theory to assist with the writing. -Then I will guide you to putting everything together into a song. Artist Development: I work with you to help create a vision for your artist project, develop clarity of brand, musical identity, awareness of how to protect your music, and how to find purpose in your passion. What to expect with artist development and mentorship: -In this process, I will pretty-much become your friend. The better I know you and your interests, the better I can help you get on the right path. -I help you organize your ideas and thoughts -Ask you really reflective questions to identify key elements for your brand and artistry. -I advise you around the do's and dont's of the industry, networking, looking for team, choosing your producer, collaborators, how to set yourself up as an artist, etc

LeeLoo - Barcelona, Spain$56
Trusted teacher: Hi there! Do you want to learn to sing? Well look no further :-) Within your first few lessons, you will be singing in ways you never thought you could! If you are a beginner, we will unlock and overcome any challenges you are facing with singing, and if you are more advanced, we will work on giving you a wide variety of dynamic and style, to break any habit or tendencies to always sing the same way. No matter your level, we will work to build your own unique voice using your own natural nuances and ways that you emote. We will work to build soul and power to your voice! Finally, I specialize in edgy genres of music such as Rock, Alternative, and Metal! If you are interested in learning to add grit, distortion, compression and/or to scream safely, I can teach you this as well! I also have a huge background in classical, musical theater, jazz and R&B. Riffing and agility with technical accuracy are something I personally love working on, and will share tips and tricks to help you fly through notes effortlessly! Q&A: CAN ANYONE LEARN TO SING? The answer is YES. Depending on physicality, practice and time... everyone in their own time span can learn to sing efficiently and with power and emotion. I THINK I´M TONE-DEAF: Well, guess what? There is no such thing! Not being able to match pitches on command has nothing to do with inability or some kind of ¨disorder¨. It´s about muscle memory... we will learn this. I ALWAYS END UP SINGING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER OR SOUNDING THE SAME WAY... We will bust things like imitation and only singing the same riffs over and over, by building aware of how your own natural voice works and applying it to your singing voice. I HATE THE SOUND OF MY OWN VOICE! Well guess what? So do I! So does everyone, even professionals.. and listening back to recordings.. YUCK! (at first).. Everyone is their own worst critic. However, we can learn to analyze your own with a technical ear instead of a critical ear, as well as focus on how the notes feel, and the better they feel the better they will sound... trust me :) In our classes you will learn to sing with ease and, make what was once a challenge to you, very easy! I encourage versatility because I am a highly versatile singer 😊 We address breath support, sound placement, tone, pitch, muscle memory, flexibility, range, diction, dynamic and performance. I am a very technical teacher and I explaim everything in great detail and you will receive notes in an email each week with directions and exercises from the previous lesson. Overall, I LOVE to work with students of all styles and backgrounds, and will challenge those interested in developing technical skill, or ROCK OUT with and just have fun! I look forward to working with you!

Trusted teacher: As a writer and educator I am primarily focussed on lyrical craft and the creative process. My time at ICMP endowed me with a wealth of tools and methods to sharpen the technical craft of a song to maximise its potential and I learned how to harness the creative process in the most conducive ways to bring the best out of any given songwriter. I'm a big believer in constantly writing and sharing so I set weekly briefs to encourage you to write in new ways and then give detailed and constructive feedback that will help you grow. I know from experience that sharing new songs can be unnerving so I take a lot of care helping people overcome this hurdle. Solo sessions are catered towards your individual needs to help you achieve personal goals: whether this be helping you overcome periods of block, write more engaging lyrics, structure exciting chord progressions, find fresher rhymes, or establish your artistic voice/sound. Weekly briefs will challenge you to become the unique writer you want to be. Group sessions focus on a weekly theme that help students sharpen specific areas of their writing (eg. rhyme, imagery, structure, chord theory, melodies, etc) and have A&R style group feedback sessions in which students can play their work to the group and get instant feedback from their peers on how they can develop. Outside of classes, I'm open to discuss songs, technique, career goals, co-writing, learning resources or whatever else will help you develop as a songwriter.

Trusted teacher: My music life started when I was a kid, and started with playing piano. Curious fact, I didn’t like it! Things drastically changed when I heard a song by Queen, “It’s a Kind of Magic”. I was blown away! And after I’ve heard the guitar solo even more! From that moment on I decided that music had to fill my life, with guitar as a main guide. After high school I decided to undertake the professional musician career and I applied to a Jazz school in Rome (Italy). After that, I moved to Rotterdam successfully completing the bachelor course at “Codarts”. I’m able to offer a broad and deep knowledge on everything that concerns guitar, harmony, song-writing, sight-reading, singing. I’m here to help students finding their own way to practice and achieve skills that would allow them to perform and enjoy the instrument and everything that the amazing world of music can offer, transmitting my passion towards this world to whoever wants to learn. My specialty can of course be recognized as Jazz since it’s my main field, but I’m of course able to guide the students in many different music styles since I come from a Pop and Rock background.
