I have over 20 years' of outstanding teaching and leadership experience across the full Primary range both in the UK and in a large international school in Abu Dhabi. With extensive experience of successfully teaching the English National Curriculum, I have taught pupils of a variety of abilities and backgrounds, including those with EAL, SEND and more-able. As well as teaching within a school setting, I have privately tutored individuals preparing them for either end of KS2 SATs or the 11+ exam.

My calm and positive approach combined with use of varied and engaging strategies play a key role in motivating students to do their best. During my lessons, a growth mindset is encouraged, where students are willing to take risks and see mistakes as a learning opportunity. I have high expectations and strive to ensure students achieve their full potential. In my lessons, students will develop a mastery approach resulting in the ability to apply their skills and knowledge and will see challenge as an 'enjoyable struggle'. Using evidence from both summative and on-going assessment, learning will be personalised according to individual needs and interests.
